"Well, your honor, we've got plenty of hearsay and conjecture. Those are kinds of evidence..."
Made me get whiskey up my nose...thank you for the laugh~
I have a feeling you shouldn't be actually be in the process of actually having a drink when you read this thread. Take your eye off the page, have a drink, read on.
After hearing today's testimony, it seems Rudy tried to start a new shadow government. Apparently he isn't as good as running one as Hillary. She's been killing folks left and right for 30+ years and hasn't been caught. Poor Rudy couldn't even pull off a routine shakedown of a newly elected Eastern European President.
“Convicted of a crime I didn’t even commit. Hah! Attempted murder? Now honestly, what is that? Do they give a Nobel Prize for attempted chemistry? Do they?”

Theres nothing wrong with using Guliani to run an wrrand for the President. The state dept works for Trump, not the other way around, and if he doesnt trust them because they don’t like his policy (as we’ve seen this week from testimony) or because he thinks they will sabotage it by leaking plans (as we’ve seen in the past), then he doesn’t have to use them.
This week we found out that hearsay is a kind of evidence that’s OK because, well, it’s Trump and we need to destroy all the rules and norms to keep him from destroying all the rules and norms.

The state department works for the country under the direction of the president.
It is not his errand boy, lap dog, nor his Roy Cohen.

Actually...
The US Constitution clearly states that the President runs the Executive branch. Congress sets laws that can put limitations on that office, and those laws need signed by that President or from a veto-proof majority. Then there is the Supreme Court who can tell everyone to go piss off.
I know you think Europe is great and all, don't confuse their parliamentary system with a prime minister with our three branch government system.
As for President Trump, he can run his presidency however he wants, especially in the realms of US Military and Foreign Affairs. Exactly how President Obama, President Bush and President Clinton did. We realize that you mistakenly believe President Trump is not your President, doesn't alter the reality that he is.
Hmm, I'm seeing a growing number of opinion articles preemptively attacking the electoral college because Trump polling shows Trump potentially winning head-to-head in key battleground states but losing the popular vote again.
What's ironic about this is that there is nothing to gain and plenty to lose from complaining about it. There will never be the votes needed to amend the Constitution. Beyond that, the battleground states have more to gain from the electoral college system, and therefore having the Democrats whine about it only serves to turn people in those states against them.

State dept. FSOs and higher swear an oath to the constitution as does the president.

True.

He is my president. I do not have to like the fact. Or him.
Seems like the only people that were doing the undermining were Giulani and Trump. Giulani doesn't work for the State Dept, doesn't represent the US in any capacity, and doesn't have the authority to blow up US foreign policy. Which is why he is under criminal investigation, and why Trump is under investigation.
