theyre not gonna give uncapped double Galli so people can get 200k/day,

They actually ARE giving you the potential to gain uncapped galli twice per day, just not in the direct way many are requesting.

What everyone wants: Give 1.5x-2x galli in one run
What they are giving: Another entry KI with the chance to earn upwards of an extra hour's worth of Galli

The difference between the two is obviously the latter requires more time. Players want SAME time for more rewards, not MORE time for more rewards (that's not a buff to most).

Like I said, they're not interested in speeding up progress for Sortie without a sizeable effort (more time investment) by the player. They COULD have done it that way, they didn't, they want you playing MORE. It's the same thing with Limbus; they threw extra NMs and ways to increase Units bar, but it's so annoying, most players ignore it. The hardcore players get a few extra box openings per week so they can finish their armor faster, the vast majority don't want to bother with the effort required. So it only benefits a very slim number of players because many already don't have the time to complete the content on it's own, let alone any additional content that is more of a time constraint.

It's quite an annoying way to introduce a campaign for the player, but it makes sense from their POV if you're trying to keep players on the hook as long as possible.

This little snippit is so full of misinformation, I feel like I'm listening to CNN

1-Its not "an exception". Once again, multiple people have listed multiple campaigns that expedite REMA completion:
HTMB campaign generates more Pluton/Beit/Boulders (yes, this is REMA currency)
Ambus allow you to get more HM/GA, which generate REMA currency
Delve campaign for Ergon's
NNI campaign generate more Alex (its not much, but the Box+2 can load cotton/linen pouch)
Dyna campaigns to let you maximize time within the area for more currency in the same timeframe
VW campaign generates more HMP's, Cinder's and Dross. Taint insists the lights dont affect it, I dont think I've seen any numbers to back this claim up, but I do know no ones doing VW outside of the campaign, so by proxy the campaign does get people to burn their voidstones.

2-Least made remas??? Gonna be kind of hard to compare them as price points and utility may affect things, but here goes

I agree. It'd be a better campaign if the potential rewards were automatically granted, or if they'd chosen a different campaign type to enhance our Sorties. (Imagine all Shards/Metals given on entry).

It's no more a disrespect of our time than any other system designed in FFXI. *Gazes at you in Monstrosity*

What it really comes down to, is this event reminds everyone that as fun as Sortie can be, an awful lot of people doing it don't actually enjoy it enough to want to do more of it.

Like I still remember, and still see people in XIV Discords who quit because of Sortie. Threw the whole damn game away, even after Primes came out.

There's plenty of players at the Sortie level, who can enter, and who want to enter, but can't get a group. Some don't even want a group. Some are even convinced that Stage 4 is where the content actually ends because they'll never get to do Aminon. Whether or not they're happy about this campaign is one thing, but this campaign benefits players like that, the most (Well, them and multi-boxers).

And this campaign really is for everyone (who has Sortie access), because its enhancement is something everyone can take advantage of, even if they can't maximize on the opportunity. Even if you have a full static, and they can't run twice, you still have 4 hours where you can put together a PUG or enter solo (more if your static doesn't run everyday), and get yourself more Gallimaufry and other rewards.

It's less about going to bat for SE, and more about trying to get people to calm their tiddies.

It's not like this Campaign is going to steal your wife and garrote your mother. It's not even going to disturb your cat.

It's really just a, "The ball is in your court," situation. You may leverage the opportunity, or you may not.

I'll get more out of this campaign than I do most campaigns. Like the Adoulin campaign going on right now with the extra dial. Or Bonus Bayld. Or the enhanced Skirmish. Or the skill up campaigns.

Would you have rather have gotten a Sortie campaign, or nothing at all? Is this not better than nothing?

Are they though? How many boxes are people in a 9 boss run opening?

We have no idea what the chance of getting the charged plate is, nor do we know what box it will come from. Considering Chests dont load stones or old case, there is reason to believe that the charged plate will only come from Casket or Coffer.

Get back to me when the primary events drop double forging currency and Salvage is revived.

Cause right now you're just pointing out that they gave other avenues to obtain currencies, so people could avoid doing more content.

These things will only be comparable if we had another event giving Gallimaufry.

Taint's just telling you how Voidwatch actually works. Even if you cap lights, it just means you have the highest drop rate possible without doing procs. Not that you actually get more rewards, just that you are more likely to get more rewards because of the proc system being tied to every targeted JA and spell in the game.

So, any ambuscade campaign directly doubles (or more) alex, bayld, plates, rift, dyna coins

(even if you regularly participate to cap, campaign makes it half the time you normally spend)

But double muffins would be more like double icher or tokens, if we're being specific.

We have no idea what the chance of getting the charged plate is, nor do we know what box it will come from.

You're right, and we also have no idea which boxes are intended to give the charged plate (blue only, brown, or all), so it could be a bluff, but to answer your first question:

3 amorph magic kill
5 amorph kills
6 amorph magic kill
Obdella
Door to A boss
rest in A area after door
magic on A bitzer
3 Corse MB in C
6 corse MB in C (some groups are fast and do this)
kill undead on c bitzer
hurray b bitzer
locked B door
drop d wing
3 4-step SC in D area
Deleterious + 3 fomor (some groups do this)
Porxie
5 kills using WS in B
3 kills in B fast
Bhoot (but he's usually not there until the end so no box from him usually)
6 different jobs in D area
6 in-order jobs in D area
naked @ E bitzer to basement
Botulus kill with damage from behind for metal
Naaks
Re-entry H
Stare in G 30s
Fashion empy in F
*Ixion if you are fast with time and he's in F during Naaks or something
Aurum

I could be missing some because I haven't done 9b in a while, but I've hit most of these objectives in a single run (sometimes all, and better groups probably do more like AOE flans and rematerialize). So at least 20 boxes are opened in a run, maybe upwards of 30?

I count 10 Blue caskets 1 coffer from aurum, and at least 3 red coffers from obdella/porxie/deleterious (bhoot because of aurum needs to be killed) in my list, if we are talking about the standard objectives a 9b group completes. 14 boxes. So if the rate is not crap like 10% or something, then should be possible to see one in most boss groups, though I'm just guessing and have no real way of knowing until they release it.

It is LITERALLY better than nothing, but is it realistically better than nothing? YMMV greatly but from what I have experienced in my usage of plates and what I am hearing across my LS (especially the more casual players) is that there is little appetite for 2 hours of Sortie a day

The most excitement ive heard about it so far is that it'll allow people to speedrun newer jobs to the basement for +3 Empy unlocks without feeling like they wasted a run. Which is something, I guess

Probably the biggest source of contention (for me) is the fact that SE has lately stated on a few different occasions that they want players to accomplish more in less time (i.e. Temenos/Apollyon Code introduction they actually said "We want to reduce the time you spend doing the content", making Temenos smaller was to save time). But then they do things that take MORE of the player's time. So their words aren't matching their actions and it is frustrating. This is why I dislike those Player Surveys, they ask for feedback so the thinking is they do care about what we want for the game, but what they deliver on seems to always ends up with them doing something nobody anticipated/asked for.

Having chests have a chance to drop a Shiny Ra'Kaznarian plate is such an odd choice.
While I'd personally rather have a galli multiplier, or a buff to the quality of chest drops (more +2 earrings), this isn't even a particularly good means of accomplishing what they seem to be trying to do

If the objective is to get players to do more sortie, and especially to get less experienced players more opportunities to get in and learn the ropes, there is a mechanic in place right there that would have worked better
The problem with randomly getting a Shiny Ra'Kaznarian plate is that it messes with people's schedules
Getting a random full KI encourages people to just enter Sortie whenever they can, and that just doesn't work with groups that schedule their runs for specific times. Either your group gets lucky with a plate drop and immediately does a second Sortie run, or someone just does whatever runs they can get and screw up group schedule by missing plate, or they just sit on the extras because they don't fit group schedule and the campaign accomplishes nothing
If you want more players in Sortie, and insist on having it tied to chests, Ruspix Plate and its recharge time are RIGHT THERE
Just have the chests drop time towards Ruspix and suddenly the campaign is actually usable

Kinda funny that so many people were upset about not being able to stack KI, like they were perfectly fine with running 3-4 Sortie back to back. Now all of a sudden having a chance at an extra run is somehow disrespectful to your time. Most of this coming from players who don't respect their own time in the first place.

"SE doesn't respect my time!" then they turn around and continue pushing their mastery rank to 10. Wait, wut?

The latter is essentially what this campaign is, except better in a way, because instead of just doubling our time in one instance, it's giving us the ability to have double instances (so we don't gotta come up with anything new, just farm the same way twice).
So what you're saying is you get to do more in X time, instead of being able to do X twice.

So no, its not the same, its not the same at all.

No, that's not what I said at all, Jordan Peterson Interview Lady.

When you walk into an old Dynamis zone under the campaign, you don't magically get 8 currency pieces per mob proc'd and killed. You get a time addition, that in reality is however long it would have taken you to go around killing the Time Extensions, which varies by zone and Movement Speed (usually like an extra 10~20 minutes for raw farming).

In essence, that itself is a time extension. You are being given the opportunity to do more of the same content.

The potential extra Sortie plate daily is the same thing, but a larger amount. More opportunity to do more of the same content.

So it's exactly the same thing, but for different events. I guess you never handled analogies in a testing format, huh?

Absolutely. Being able to stack a couple plates and scheduling the time for a day of multiple Sortie would be infinitely better. They could have also just made the extra plate recharge in the same amount of time as your normal plate instead of this random drop business.

Being able to do 2 if you want to is better than only being able to do 1. The reward is static so 'benefit' is constant and has no bearing.

From the guy who suggested paying 6x your sub fee for 'more than double'.

You can communicate with your friends and set up a schedule for the campaign just like you would if you could stack. The point was that people are having a fit about an additional opportunity that wasn't really even meant for them. Sortie is not legacy content. It doesn't need a campaign to accommodate the fact that you can't find other players running it like Delve, VW, ect.

"you have one CHANCE per day"

Cant do the second run because you have RL ***to do? Well too bad, that bonus is gone.

"Do it when you get back 8 hours later?" Well now your start time the next day is *** because your KI wont be ready in time.

I'm unsure how it's going to work to be honest. Will it work like other drops where everyone will receive one if it drops? If I already have a plate (because unless you prep for the event by using it before the campaign most people will) and someone else doesn't have a plate and it drops from a chest will my free plate for the day be wasted, etc.

I didn't suggest paying for 6 characters. It was merely an acknowledgement that 6-boxing exists and those people have the ability to get 4x more REMA materials during HTMB campaigns.

Not everyone has endlessly flexible friends. I have a core group of 6 people I do things with and due to different availability, spouses, and kids we don't have an easy time slotting in extra time for things. Hell, we have been working on V25s for months and we have precisely 2.5 hours every Monday night. Some people don't have a lot of Segs either or time on other days to always keep enough so sometimes we have to do seg runs which eats out attempt time. Someone can't make it tonight? Well now it's 2 weeks between attempts. Finally beat Ongo V25 the week before last which was like 3 months worth of Mondays. Now we get to fight against the RNG of Bumba for 2.5 hours every Monday.

Sortie we had a good thing going for a while. Within the group we finished a few Stage 5s, a couple stage 4s, and got a few people up to Stage 3s. Got pretty good at 9 boss runs, but due to various things it fizzled out so we haven't dont much Sortie for a couple months now. You might say "well get new friends', to which I say I'd probably just stop doing things before that happened. The point is, we'd be a hell of a lot more likely to make the time for 1 run a day for 2x Galli than we would be to make the time for not only 1, but 2 runs in a row on a daily basis. I just think there's an argument to made that a Galli multiplier would have been more effective at getting more people into Sortie then a chance for a free plate if that was their goal.

The reward is not static.

The reward for doing the run, not the additional plate. We were talking about campaigns that are more rewarding. The potential for reward is the same here regardless of how many runs you do back to back.

Your assumption is that it will be difficult to get the plate and mine is that it will not be. We'll have to wait to see who's the ***.

There are no campaigns and have never been any campaigns that double REMA upgrade currency.
Increase in Gally =/= 2x Gally
But that aside, I think you're a bit wrong.

First, it's not a perfectly fine comparison between very old content (Relic, Mythic, Empyrean) and Recent (Primes)
It also depends how you want to define the thing.
Means to make RME faster? There have been plenty through the years, direct and indirect, and I mean PLENTY.
None of those are from monthly campaings but permanent, same result though.

For more "recent" legendary weapons, there have been campaigns for Ergons (thrice as fast for the pre-requisite of doing coalition assignments, double plasm campaigns, 4x Bayld campaigns, without forgetting Ambuscade which brought into the market what previously was a very rare currency, HP Bayld)
Then there's Aeonic. No direct increase in the speed at which you can obtain aeonics but, due to the nature of the weapons themselves, gear power creep did it the same through the years.
As a matter of fact, getting an Aeonic today is nowhere close to what it was when they were released.

Primes are what, 3 years old? It wouldn't really be THAT insane to give a SMALL boost to Gallimaufry, especially when the same currency is ALSO used for Empy+3 and especially when you're still gated by the Voracious Psyches (min 6 months for a weapon), so it's not like giving a MODEST boost to Galli would suddenly make everybody create 200 Primes in a few days.

The only problem, from SE's point of view, is their annoying fixation with having people have "stuff to do" on a daily schedule, and they're afraid with a galli campaign some people might relax their Sortie daily farming.
Is that what they're afraid of and the reason why they're so reluctant to give SMALL boost to Gallimaufry?
It's gotta be something like that because I can't think of anything else.

It's probably a combination of things.

They probably think the bulk of players participating in Sortie enjoy the content, so the reward is you get to do it more. If their mindset is participation means people like it, then it's easy to see why they would give you more of it as part of the campaign.

They also likely don't want it to end up in the category a lot of other campaign content does, where people wait for a campaign to do it at a more optimized return. "I'll just wait for campaign" is a common theme for some content and I doubt they want Sortie in that category.

Also remember when Sortie rolled out how they capped the gains to prevent people from getting too far ahead? Pepperidge Farm remembers. Don't forget the basement boss situation either.

I doubt it's directly a part of some scheme they concocted to keep people doing it daily. They seem to legitimately think people like the content and want to keep doing it, so as usual, it's probably just a matter of them being disconnected from the player base. To their credit, some people including folks who post here do legitimately seem to like it, so maybe there's a silent majority that does...I just haven't met them yet.

They automatically assume if you do it. You like it. It's a pass or a fail, they don't care how you feel about it.

There is no;
"I do sortie, but I don't like it"
"I do sortie, but I hate it"
"I do sortie, but only for the weapons"

There is only "I do sortie"

As much as people are complaining, they're all going to be lined up in the drifts waiting to use their extra plates and sending a clear signal to SE that it's exactly what they wanted. Endless loop of people who enjoy complaining about something, but don't have the willpower to do anything about it.
