Damnit, I just might have to watch Andor now... I'm seeing way too many people say it's really good. Last thing I watched I think was Boba Fett or Solo... I haven't liked anything Star Wars since Rogue One.

The bar is really low on Star Wars content. Outside the old EU, the prequels were terrible, the sequels were worse, Solo was..not as bad as I was told but not great, and most of the modern games were mid or meh. I'm convinced most people wouldn't give a ***about Mando if it wasn't for Grogu, because it's very fetch-questy and wears out its welcome very fast. I didn't watch Skeleton Crew, Ashoka, or Bad Batch - I hear kinda meh things about all of them. I was told Acolyte was terrible by several folks so again, I didn't bother with it

So I don't blame you for not wanting to mess with it, a lot of folks missed S1 because it came out during peak Star Wars fatigue and a lot of other folks missed Rogue One and were not really aware of the characters. That said, it's some of the best SW content there is and I'd argue it's just a good show in general, people I know who dgaf about SW walked away liking it and finding it very good. AFAIK most of the crew didn't know ***about Star Wars and that was by design, so they wrote a largely good story that just takes place in the Star Wars universe rather than trying to make it super Star Warsy.

There are things you can nitpick about it, but I largely thought it was well written, very well acted, and well produced compared even to non-Star Wars shows/content.

I just don't care for the Babies ever after ending. It basically reduced that character to absolutely nothing in season 2. The last arc also doesn't do a good job of connecting show Cassian to Rogue One Cassian, a man that openly declares he has lost everything. Like, really? Almost your entire group of friends survives the war. Your love interest, your young protege, your personal droid, and even a few of your close conspirators. Andor needed more character deaths to justify his state of mind. The showrunner just chickened out.

You’re aware that there are like 4 dragon heart movies.

First one is the only good one though.

Edit: I use the term good loosely. It’s one of my favorite movies. I acknowledge that it’s quality is suspect

It's always amusing to me that XI is always counted towards XIV on financial reports. I know they merged the games together, and all the money we pay does goto XIV operations but it would be nice if they just said it on the financial reports, instead of gaslighting the investors that it's all just XIV. XI does bring in tens of millions a year. XI makes way more money than DQ10.

And on the XIV boards people complain about XIV being the cash cow that supports all their flops.

Their mindset seems to be that if something is doing well, it's a waste to put more resources than necessary into it and so put that money into new things.

This is ok if they have the ability to make new things that do well, but they simply don't anymore. Most of the things they make are failures.

This is the reason you invest heavily in success, but Yoshida never learned this lesson from Blizzard it seems.

Todays news:

Super hot russian teacher (woman) was arrested for seducing a student (minor), forcing him to grab her breasts, kiss her and she sent him her selphies in sexual positions.

The teacher was 25 year old when the crime happened. She was married and everyone considered her the “dream teacher”.

She was considered guilty after 1 year (she is 27 atm)

Me: ok, but where are the selphies???

Todays news 2:

Neymar band new car just arrived.

It is a Ferrari Purosangue.

Very customized, very few units are built per year.

Even if you have the money, the waiting line is 2 years to get one, and has as prerequisite having at least more 2 Ferrari cars before trying to attempt to buy a Purosangue.

Funny how there was a guy who bought a Purosangue second hand, and exhibited the car in social media.

Ferrari got to know about this, and asked the guy to return the car to them, because, apparently, he didnt met the criteria to be the proud owner of a Purosangue.

The Purosangue price was around $1M.

And here Im thinking about buying a small bike for my daily needs

If I had that kind of money, a Ferrari is the last thing you'd see me in. I have been in some and I honestly do not get the appeal unless it's the 60-70s models. It's like they shoot for elegance and instead land somewhere into obnoxiousness and impracticality.

Neymar's living the life in Brazil, semi-retired in his early thirties.

I would do the same if I had that kind of money to burn (literally), though yes, would also go for earlier models.

There's no accounting for taste, but a Ferrari is a Ferrari.

My point was more about the prerequisite to be the owner of a Ferrari Purosangue.

The price tag seems the "easiest" one to fill.

You also need to wait two year

Then you need to have at least more 2 Ferrari before having one Purosangue.

Its understandable why there are those prerequisites, but it just makes explicit how this world is abnormal.

Breaking news here is that the football confederation president was deposed by a local judge.

The judge found some fake evidence presented before, so he deposed the current one, promoted a temporary one, and asked for him to call a new election.

All of this while this case can still be judged by the higher courts, that will surely reinstate the deposed president (as they already did before).

My point here is that for a decade already the judges amassed a large amount of power here.

A football confederation is for any means a private institution. Still, the judge feels like they have the right to depose presidents in a monocratic decision.

No judge should even have power to decide monocratically about something of this scale.

Im not even discussing if he was right or wrong (also because none make decisions purely for it being "right"). It is just that none is safe when single human being have such power.

Beging your pardon Panta, but with the blatent crouption of FIFA someone needs to hold football, both American and the rest of the world's, to account.

At least American football has a minimal sense of shame.

So many good memories with so many amazing people while sitting there with 6000 minutes after a party and chilling will farming rings to npc for 34k each, never seeing the god tier augments.

The simplicity and sometimes mindless nature of grinding things in the the game is one of its appeals. Even more if you can do it with a friend of family member.

If you have a job that is very stressful or a lot of bad things in your life, sitting down and grinding out job points or whatever can be very relaxing. The game can be more about just relaxation to some, rather than trying to be the best or beat the hardest content.

A lot of people who play XI barley do any endgame at all and that would not seem to make sense, but they treat it more as a relaxing casual game. This seems to be very common in Japan for instance.
