So, the precise “defect” being raised then is a ws or ability by another playerused after a chain is closed by the blue mage using chain affinity does not create/extend a skillchain?

If there isn't a performance increase that comes along with vertical mounting, it shouldn't be standard. Not everyone wants to pay more money simply to have all sides of their GPU plastered with marketing and branding. Some of us are actually more concerned with what the display looks like rather than the inside of the case.
GPU sag can make it pull out of the PCI slot and damage it. Big GPU are heavy as f now

My GPU is locked into the PCI slot. If the sag were that pronounced, the PCI connector itself would detach from the mobo. GPU falling out of the PCI slot sounds like user error.

A couple of weeks ago I started a project of doing a speedy run (not a speedrun) of Palworld and record it.

But every dozen of hours played, I figure if I had made a simple tweak in my choices I would be in way better position.

So, Ive been spending like 3 to 4 weeks just restarting over and over, and I still didnt got the point I feel like doing my very best.

Im also doing loads of save scumming, so it just makes worse all this trouble, because Palworld RNG is worse than I thought at first.

Generic names are boring. I guess I could've called it Bahamut Community something or other, but meh. There's currently 32 people on the server and couple new faces show up each day which is pretty cool.

Bahamut.Celebrindal said: »
Bongrippa's great people, and sees the direction even the large servers of XI are moving the past years...and adding more ways to group up is one great way to fight that trend.

While I agree a place that's nothing but drama never is a good thing for creating community- a lil' splash here and there keeps things spicy and worth paying attention to, versus such a boring place it might as well be just LinkedIn for Final Fantasy.

Thanks for your kind words sir. You know I'm not gonna sit there and babysit the disco like some sort of fun police and will let the drama flow to a certain extent. We (the ffxi community) are all adults, at least via our birth certificates, and know when we are saying things that are going too far and that wont be tolerated, but yea, a lil spice is ok from time to time.

I like the idea, but just a general question. Wouldn't it be better to use a generic Discord server name like: Bahamut Server FFXI over your LS Discord server?

We already had one person wanting to make his LS a hub for every other LS and Bahamut player and we all know how it went (though, I guess it was 100% fault on how that person acted).

This isnt a ls discord. I'm currently not a sack holder in any ls, let alone shell holder. I do use it with my sortie group atm, but this is for anyone to use and is not specific to any ls. I'm not sure who wanted to use their discord as a hub for all ls, maybe that was before i came to Bahamut, but I'm not actively seeking to have a linkshell hub. Just a spot for people who might be seeking someone for sortie, ody, dyna, ambus now, in 4 hours, tomorrow, a permanent static, etc. Or just a spot for maybe some people wanna hop on voice and shoot the ***with one another. If linkshells use it for networking with other shells or recruiting players, no prob.

Believe it or not, there is. It's a mighty fine server. Half the population of Asura, half the shouts, and 1/10th of the merc shouts.

I think I managed to answer things that were brought up. There's nothing I'm trying to gain from this outside bringing the community together as much as we can to help keep the game goin as long as it can.

Researchers secretly infiltrated a popular Reddit forum with AI bots, causing outrage

Only a matter of time until someone makes AI trolls for FFXIAH

Im sure an AI troll would make this site a whole lot more friendly than our current trolls made of blood and flesh

Pretty sure the 'performance increase' is that it takes up like 160 square inches instead of 400 and won't be stepped on by pets if you put it on the floor. It's a valid concern, especially for office PCs, but there should definitely be more emphasis on horizontal layout with the weight of current GPUs.

and SE even named a piece of gear after him.

Thats presuming the ML0 monk is truly solo (aka no trusts), which i find highly unlikely to fight Gin. Ulmia and/or Joachim are present and its highly likely Madrigal(s) is/are present.
Solo means with trusts ofc

By Godfry on 2025-04-30 14:12:08
Yes, but if a bard with SV 2x Mad and Honor March is comparable to MNK's acc, then yeah, knowing that ML0 has no problem hitting is relevant to a BRD/NIN with a TP bonus dagger.

I was legitimately curious to know if a Bard in the above conditions would not be able to hit Gin, since that's what Maletaru was implying.

Well, now that you ask...

MNK has A+ H2H skill: 424
BRD has B- Dagger skill: 388 (-36)
MNK gifts include 41 accuracy
BRD gifts include 21 accuracy (-56)
Godhands have 269 H2H skill plus 30 acc on the augment (-355)

Master levels give 88 accuracy to BRD (-267)
SV Blade Madrigal (with merits) gives 238 Accuracy to the BRD (-29)

So...I guess if the BRD also has Honor March, or a second Madrigal...then you're right. A SV BRD with multiple accuracy songs would have more acc than an ML0 MNK. Seems like a bit of a fallacious argument to make to me, but...sure. A BRD who's ML50 and casting SV Blade Madrigal + Honor March would have more accuracy than an ML0 MNK.

Assuming the MNK wasn't under focus, and had the same accuracy on gear, which everyone knows would never be the case since BRD TP gear sucks *** for accuracy and basically every piece of MNK's best gear includes heaps of accuracy.

So um...yeah. I don't think an ML50 BRD is likely to have more offhand accuracy than an ML0 MNK, no.

I agree with general name instead of LS name. Makes it more approachable and people instantly know ‘what is it’ just by its name. Vs some abstract LS discord.

Cool. An ML0 MNK has a whole lot more accuracy than the offhand of a BRD/NIN with a TP bonus dagger, so I'm not really sure what your point is exactly, but...it's probably not totally relevant to everyone fighting Gin.

An ML 50 bard with SV madrigals has less acc than an ML0 MNK?

Lili was the one bringing ML50 into the discussion. But if you are going to compare a MNK with a Bard, just to make a point, at least remember that bards can SV Madrigals.

Wow, I hadn't heard of CAMM modules until I read through this thread. However, I expect CAMM modules to be in thin laptops and less-likely to see them in ITX/mATX/ATX motherboards for desktop PCs. Still Interesting though

What other changes do you forsee to desk PCs in 2-3 years?
Affixing GPUs perpendicular to the mobo as standard is way overdue as a dumb idea. I hope cases that support horizontal mounting become standard.
