They specifically say anyone can jump in solo, but who knows.
I think it's DI style shared boss fights.
Anyone can pop in solo into those previous areas, especially after they made trusts. I imagine having dozens of 1hr DI NM's in two zones is something FFXI's servers can handle. There might be some other component where you can chose to have a floor boss spawn as open or not. Remember neither limbus zone is a big flat area but instead a bunch of smaller broken up areas you teleport around to. It's a truly massive area.
I can also see having a few separate DI style boss's thrown in, just not dozens. |

My theory is that a metric shitton of people are going to immediately start a farmbot in there then be shocked when SE bans them because it's their precious new content and they ruined it for everyone else.
I don't think it'll be that simple as farm 1 MILLION monsters to do X. We've had several "open world" type content areas, Abyssea, Neo-Dynamis and Escha and they all had a common theme, popped boss fights for items and upgrades.
I think it'll be each of the "towers" or "floors" gonna have some sort of boss that we pop after farming up items from the monsters, kill that for a KI or other pop item. At the top will be Apex-Ultima and Apex-Omega that we need to build popsets for.
The only serious bots I see are people running around with WHM, BRD and GEO mules as they do stuff. |

Chicken chat: I actually kinda wish I got this for bard evasion pulling. Moving movement speed off of pants and onto a dagger that also has BIS evasion would mean a gain of 81 eva from choco/empy over gleti/carmine |

So basically they're turning the trust system back into the abandoned fellow system they should have taken all the way. Should just release Moogle Mastery globally; restricting it to Odyssey is weird. Also, just adding shields or whatever, they'll still get wrecked.
Anyways, it sounds like Limbus will be kind of open-world content like Apex/Locus mobs.
I loved the fellow system, it had a ton of potential but they just stopped updating it and it fell apart. |

Where does the shield come in order of calculation? Like for berserk is it additive with duration gear or multiplicative at the end? I see people saying it allows berserk and aggressor to be up full time which implies the latter?
Just assuming so could be mistaken and ill get corrected hopefully but for zerk should be multiplicative at the end since theres no additional +% duration gear for zerk so all the +second gear first then +25%, for things like circles should just stack with whatever is available, i.e pld feet + shield should be a 75% increase You're right, they are +seconds. For berserk +8.5% attack Vs duration is hard and of course context dependent. For warcry I'm not even sold on the idea. I like to warcry when I have tp to use for the first ws. Losing tp to start before using it means I reckon you only ever get an extra 2 ws with the shield (naegling) at best |

Also the web page for Conquerer is confusing. It says it takes berserk from 25% to 33.5% but the base value at 99 is 35% already? Is this just not updated and it actually takes it from 35% to 43.5%?

I wanna say that was before the reforge process, which kinda did that(if you take away TP bonus options), then they mentioned fixing the relic ws and they did... by placing it on a whole other weapon |

I had literally hundreds of characters banned for farming cruor, for a while I would just burn up a fresh alliance every week while my last alliance farmed. Gil price was high enough that the account cost was negligible.
Not really comparable though, different eras. I personally think anyone ballsy enough to bot limbus heavy hours in the early weeks is an idiot and will be banned.

It's more a general tier of weapon, not a process description.
They don't come from where REMAs come from, but the relative skill gain, which translates to base acc and macc and so forth, is at the same tier as weapons that are REMAs.
Is my point.
Not all REMAs are good but they're still REMAs. Remember when they said they'd boost the ***relics to balance them and never did? |

Debatable.
If you go by the amount of +skill they have, they are REMA tier.
Previously only REMAs had +269 skill. Primes are special and go up to +277 at stage 5.

I caved and got the Ice Brand. In addition to being a good OH for magic weapons skills it is also great for nuking.
Just did some quick tests and Crocea/Ice is beating out Crocea/Bunzi R25 for Sanguine blade. Was about 3% higher damage against Locus Rarabs with an alt Geo for buffs.
Did some testing against Thibron too, and it was closer than I was expecting. Overall Crocea/Ice was about 5% lower doing RLB>SB>repeat compared to Crocea/Thibron. Obviously at 1k tp Thibron would win, but it starts getting close if you hold tp to 1750. If you are throwing in MBs, Ice Brand might win out.
This was just some quick tests, but might go do more extensive testing later, but overall happy with the pick for Rdm.

- Fire seems like it could be good, and I've heard it might be onpar with Thibron offhand for physical WS.
- Ice looks to nudge out Ammupari shield when you're able DW for int/macc spells. The appeal for me looks at how it'll interact with magical WSs.
- Onion Sword I've heard is really really nice for a fusion bridge.. |
