Maryland Decriminalizes Marijuana Possession

I started watching a show called "Gravity Falls" myself. It's a Disney Channel show. Disney. Channel. And it's so awesome. It's got the charm Adventure Time does, except it makes me laugh a lot more. Worth a check out.

That and it has Kristen Schaal in it. Instant win.

Edit: Just found out the show's writer was a writer for the Misadventures of Flapjack. No wonder why it's so awesome.

I live in Maryland, and I applaud this as a non-smoker. It's a good start. A fair amount of professional adults I know smoke marijuana. I believe it's less harmful than alcohol. For me, I work in a police department, so even a civil violation for pot would probably get me fired, but I don't have a problem with Marylanders enjoying a little recreation so long as they're doing it responsibly.

Meh, I know plenty of functioning potheads. However, I've never met one who I couldn't tell was stoned, or not stoned. I wish it didn't give me anxiety. It's pretty un-enjoyable personally.

I'd much rather have a beer.

I think of hippies when I think of pot so yea I rather avoid it all together.

As for me, I really don't get stoned anymore, indeed compared to my 40s my MJ consumption is way down. I try to smoke every day, excessive fluid pressure in my eyeballs which can lead to glaucoma, but occasionally I don't.

My alcohol consumption, on the other hand, is up. I have started to wonder if I am using alcohol to self medicate for pain. I don't get drunk either but seem to keep a certain blood alcohol level after I start drinking.

I view particulate pollution in the lungs as marijuana's most detrimental effect on the body. Science hasn't been allowed to study it for longer than my lifetime so we don't know its carcinogenic effects.

I know a lot of smokers, but only a couple who use vaporizers.

I don't like music that requires drugs. I know I'm an old bitter man but that is me.

There are many reasons to not like hippies. Besides smoking pot...

Irresponsibility, selfishness, preachiness, oh and lets not forget the horrible horrible scent of patchouli...

I've met a few hippies in my days and the smell still is burned into my mind.

They may not have be "true" hippies but they sure as hell looked and acted the part.

I can see pot for medical reasons etc. But if you want to be dumb you don't need to smoke pot to do that.

I had a few hippies at my house last weekend, I'm still cleaning up. They're filthy!

If you're caught smoking pot at work you'll probably still get fired in many professions... All this seems to do is decriminalize possesion of small amounts of marijuana in which the feds can still scoop you up for that...

Not unlike drinking at work as well.

Drinking at work should be required. World would be a better place.

Nothing makes time fly by like not remembering the last few hours.

It would probably make my current job enjoyable, granted there's nothing stopping me from doing it, short of a lack of desire to get drunk.

Mmm...IDK. Hangovers have been progressively more debilitating. Not much reward in it the older you get. Nothing like a hangover on a Sunday to ruin your weekend.

Only thing that will certainly give me a hangover is tequila, I try to avoid the stuff.

Well if you are drinking Jack if you drink a light beer it will sober you up with all that water.

(not really but only use I can think of for a light beer)

Pot hangover though. Never heard of one, and if they exist, never had one. Only redeeming factor now would be the lack of hangover.

Beer is like falling in love with a woman. Probably not like her at first but she grows on you. Before you know it you have to drink her every day.
