Mii Fighters do take up a spot when Custom Characters are turned on. This opens the window for 4 characters via DLC if they even do that. If not the roster in the spoiler is final.

There is room for 4 more characters. 5 if you include the 2nd to last row of characters. People are speculating a 2 part DLC like they are doing with Mario Kart 8.

Some info on the demo
You get Mario, Link, Pikachu, Villager, and Mega Man (who is glorious btw)
and one stage to mess around on. Pretty bare bones but damn if it doesn't make you hungry for the full game

I think they rolled with the whole Villager is evil thing. The Announcer totally makes it sound dark when you select him.

Was truly epic.

Gonna be streaming some brawl if anyone is interested. I'm kind of at a weird skill level. I body all the casuals and get bodied by all the competitive players. It leaves me w/ a very small pool of opponents. The guy coming over is one of the only people that I actually have good back and forth matches with; so should be interesting none the less.
