Nintendo took the leaks down.
They were the real deal. *sigh* I still feel Dr. Mario, Dark Pit, Toon Link, and Lucina are not needed. All 3 of them are direct clones. Those character slots could of been used by so many other great ideas people have come up with over the years.
Gannondorf desperately needs to be changed. Falco has almost the same moveset as Fox but he could get a bit better with more changes. Earthbound/Mother needs another representative other than Lucas. I find it highly unlikely that's really Sakurai, regardless, I got a good chuckle from it, simply because he probably does feel that way anyway.
If he said "delayed for the west" only it'd be a little more convincing. There is absolutely no way he would punish the loyal Japanese fan-base for something done in the west. He did get butt hurt when people released videos last year and then decided to take the story mode out of the new game. Who knows. That could be real.

The wording on that tweet make it obvious it's fake because no Japanese I know would write anything ever close to that even if they were pissed enough to want to strangle someone.
Secondly, no way in hell Nintendo would hold the game until 2017. They're not in a position which would allow them to do such a thing. Even more Smash Bros being a brand "staple" and a "killer app".
