Anyone else feel like this should be a vidyagame more than a shorts series? It's pretty awesome either way, I think~ :3

I'd totally play it! Who knows, maybe that's what they hope to get out of it granted enough popularity!

The art in the show reminds me so much of the "Tales..." games.
Which is great! :)

Does anyone know off the top if Rooster Teeth will be making any Team JNPR stuff? There is a Team RWBY poster, a Beacon hoodie, a Team RWBY hoodie, and this awesome T-shirt which is unfortunately out of stock:

But JNPR loot would be really cool too I think.

Did she just say "Normal Knees"?
Alright, so, Weiss's magic circles
white = normal platforms
light blue = platforms you can run across
black = platforms that pins you down
red = platforms that shoot you like a projectile
She also used a darker blue platform as part of her so-called 'landing strategy'.
I wonder if these colors mean something or are they just random.

Yeah... Like the show a lot, but would love it if they could just make like every episode 10 minutes.

I think the episodes are a bit on the short side too. But I'm not paying to watch them, so I feel like seeing 5 minutes is better than seeing nothing. I'm hoping that if they come out with a DVD of the first season or whatever, that it's not broken up with the starting song and everything every five or ten minutes. It would be cool to re-watch them as one long episode with just a few breaks here and there, I think!

The shortness kinda bugs me and some of the character names kinda bug me. Whoever named Yang was very unkind to the voice actors. <.< The guy who plays the headmaster does almost OK with Yang's name, but both he and Glenda make something of a mess out of Lie's (oddly enough in a different way each time). Obviously they can't be expected to know pinyin, but something about the heavy-handed way they use English pronunciation rules to sound out foreign words is really grating. x.x And don't even get me started on the way everyone says "Jaune." Cuz maaaaaaan, that's just wrong! D:D:
I'm also still waiting to see mustache professor guy do something cool!! lol

You don't like John spelt that way my friend? NOPE. It's probably because the way it's spelled, it should sound more like "Joan." Joan is my old boss's name. I don't like Joan. <_<

But but!! D: The word "jaundice" came from the word "jaune," which is French for "yellow." It's the same issue I have with the other foreign words that were subjected to English phonics.
In all fairness, the existing pronunciations could be an intentional exercise of artistic liberty. Nothing wrong with that, I just don't particularly like it. XD I kinda feel like Yang should've been named Jaune instead. Y'know, since she's "yellow" and all. Then they could've pronounced it "Joan" without the gender issue! :]

^^ I liked tonight's episode.
I think that quote, when Jaune was getting the crap kicked out of him, when he said something like "I don't care what you do to me, but don't hurt my team" is why he's the leader. And it was probably the bravest thing any character has done so far. The only comparable thing is when Ruby rushed the scorpion that was chasing Pyrrha and Jaune in the forest, but it doesn't quite compare because Ruby thought she could handle it. Jaune knew he was screwed here, and he took his stand anyways.
I loved it when he attacked the bear! Knowing that he had no chance at all to win that fight, but trying anyways, and I love that his confidence was more important to Pyrrha than a bit of bragging. She's boss.
And I really loved that during the fight, the music was the opening song tweaked into a minor key. Familiarity of the song, tension of a minor key, watching Jaune gain some much-needed confidence, seeing the bully getting a nice big bite of humble pie, and seeing Pyrrha's skill all at once! Ahh, yes!

No RWBY next week, according to Rooster Teeth's facebook. Also no Red vs. Blue next week, but who's talking about that! They will be live-streaming some stuff instead, it sounds like, to whet our appetites for the final episodes for this season of those shows. Don't go quoting me though, I don't actually know anything. About anything.
Except that Yang is boss. Everyone knows that!

I got your back, Liela. Direct from Mile's Rooster Teeth journal.
Miles said: No RvB/RWBY Next WeekBut don't head down to your local Angry Mob Supply Store just yet!
Next week we'll be taking a break from Red vs. Blue 11 and RWBY. Both of these series are approaching their respective finales, and we want to make sure that they'll be the best that they can be. SO instead of splitting up the final chapters of RWBY into multiple parts, we're going to be releasing them the way they were written.
In other words... the final two chapters of RWBY contain FOUR WEEKS WORTH OF CONTENT.
*confetti shower*
The break also allows us to release episodes up to the release of the RvB11 and RWBY DVDs on November 12th, and that helps us a ton.
In order to make up for the lack of episodes, we'll be releasing some special videos next week, as well as some cool, free stuff for site members. We'll ALSO be hosting a video live-stream for Sponsors to talk about Red vs. Blue and RWBY. It'll be just like a convention panel from the comfort of your computer!
So, TLDR, sorry for the lack of episodes, but be sure to check back next week to see the special stuff we'll be putting out!
As someone who works on both shows, believe me when I say... the wait will most certainly be worth it.

I need the last 45 seconds of this song in my life. Preferably in a form that lasts 4 times as long and can be delivered intravenously.

Blake!
Well most of us probably saw that coming, considering her trailer song was all about it. But then! But then I specifically looked for normal ears on her, saw them, and dismissed the thought that she could be fauna because she had normal ears already. It definitely explains her song, her speed, her ability to move darn near silently (I didn't hear her coming up when she and Yang met in the Emerald Forest,) her ability to hear things that Yang couldn't (again in the Emerald Forest,) her reluctance to make friends (when she was trying to read and Ruby was trying to talk to her,) her defense of others who she thinks can't help themselves (at the start when Weiss was telling Ruby off for running into her, Blake defended Ruby without even knowing her.) She knows what it's like to be on the receiving end of unfair treatment, so she stepped up when she saw it happening to someone else.
What it doesn't explain is why she was concerned for the crew members in her trailer. If she's been enslaved and persecuted by people (as her song suggests) then why would she mind if Adam killed a few of them? And how she managed to hide it for so long (she'd have to take her bow off to sleep and shower, at the very least.) How on earth could she have hidden her ears in the bow for so long?
I am really glad to see some Blake action, definitely! I think I said somewhere a few weeks ago that we've seen a bit of characterization and character development from every pair except the Yang/Blake pair. Well, to be fair. Ren/Nora is a bit lacking too, but they aren't rwby, so they are more like the gravy on the potatoes, not the potatoes themselves. Blake is the potatoes!

Ooh! I also like how this episode tied in Weiss's grandfather with Blake's trailer. When Weiss was talking about how one of their train cars was stolen, Blake didn't seem to react but I was all "THAT WAS BLAKE AND ADAM!"
And I like how even though the team should be pretty well aware of her fauna status by now, Yang and Ruby are still worried about her. Weiss seems sort of worried too, just not willing to admit it. "She's a big girl, I'm sure she can take care of herself." sounds a bit to me like "She's a big girl, but I hope she's taking care of herself." Or maybe I'm just giving Weiss too much credit.
But really though. I think that if Weiss saw some of how the "other half" lived, she'd be much more sympathetic to them. She's not evil, she's just ignorant. She just hasn't learned about anything but herself yet.
I hope Pyrhha falls for Jaune. <3 I hope Jaune falls back!
