I think the first three are the most applicable, as the latter has been relatively true with growing rates over time for the past 5-10 years. I suppose there's plenty of international sensations out there that spark in mass popularity that sneak under my radar.
Anyways, more music~   Despite the fact that this is perhaps the most commercial sounding album from The Black Keys, I absolutely love it. It has a real 60s/70s psychedelic throwback vibe to it that's reminiscent of groups like Pink Floyd. Can't wait to pick this one up from Zia today.

 Be patient with this one, the creepy ambient opening is almost 2 minutes, but I think it's worth the wait.

As one might expect, Gorillaz were absolutely stellar live. 10/10, would travel out of the country to see them again.

In a similar vein, I have never seen a group so emotionally, and vigorously in depth with their performance and music than Cage The Elephant when they performed live. The studio stuff simply cannot do justice to what they can do on a stage.
   RiP to one of my all time favorite and a great rocker/artist.

I really fell in love with this version of his classic song (Eric Moo/太傻)...
 ...removed from all the studio and production fluff of his "pop music" era--with just his voice and a piano accompaniment--I find it very moving and powerful. :)   |
