Regardless of the set bonus, 5% haste on the ammo slot has "uses".
Odd the ammo is "All Jobs", but the weapons are job-specific. This was kind of mentioned earlier in the thread but still very weird. The jobs spread on all these weapons don't make a ton of sense. Perhaps this was just wave one of weapons and they are planning to release another set of weapons pairing with the ammo's set bonus, when the next HTBF or two is added. 3 hats/legs, x amount of weapons per HTBF (there's 4 this update). Looking into this a bit further (and assuming they do release weapons for all jobs eventually):
MNK/PUP/DRK/DNC/SAM/RNG/COR/BLU/SMN/RUN did not see a weapon this update.
RDM/WAR/PLD got two weapons (neither of the WAR or PLD weapons are their primary weapon). SCH is also on a very weird weapon, Dagger.
DRG's weapon is awkward, so I would expect a
Polearm.
I could see a
staff that DRG, SMN, BLM, WHM, MNK, SCH are able to equip.
NIN could offhand the Knife already, so I wouldn't necessarily expect a
Katana. I would expect to see a
Hand-to-Hand, a
Sword that at least BLU could use, and another Dagger with DNC on it (still not sure why they were left off, maybe a typo? anyone with Dagger can confirm?).
Scythe/Great Sword/Great Axe/Great Katana for the respective jobs
Not sure what would they would do for RNG and COR, probably a
Marksmanship (Archery for RNG) set bonus with a new weapon.
