Just out of curiosity, anyone remember when they got their Vital Grace KI?

I did my 5 rounds of Temenos before I stepped foot in Apollyon.
Teme 1 = Teme verification key
Teme 2 = Dilineated Grace
Teme 3/4/5 = nothing
Apy 1 = Apy verification key
Apy 2 = Angelic Grace
Apy 3 = Vital Grace

Was this just coincidence that I didnt get the Vital Grace KI on Teme 3/4/5, or is the condition for the Vital Grace to open Apy and Teme Boxes 3x teach?

Seems like the requirement is having both the other graces, then opening a box.

Anyone test out things like geo debuff penalties?
Did short testing seems no penalty. Eclipse malaise was same potency as bolster malaise which would likely mean full geo potency.

This isn't testing the nerf SE does to geomancy BTW.

Normally, they nerf ALL debuff geomany, including indi- and geo-, and they reduce both of them by the same amount. There's functionally no difference between a geo- and an indi- spell except BoG/EA.
Most monsters have 100 mdef and 50 is floored. There was little difference between indi malaise and Eclipse malaise. No malaise had huge effect on my spells and finally Bolster was same potency as eclipse malaise. This leads me to believe geo isn't nerfed because this is the exact behavior you see from mobs that don't resist geomancy.

Hoooooo boy I found a really nice bug, and not a good one.

I wanted to see if you could toss your temp item and get the full unit reward for clearing a cycle? Well, not only do you still get the halved amount, you lose your temp item and cant get another, it doesnt go to recycle bin. I tried resetting my level, and I still cant get a temp item after clearing a cycle. I'm gonna see if I *** my char out of the box, or if the temp item is just a reminder for the player and floor clear is stored server side.

I suspect / chope its stored server side or I *** one of my chars out of temenos lol

I did that last night, we were doing a tower I had already completed. If you drop a KI you also don't get the half credit for a repeat. If you zone out to Al'Taieu and zone back in you get all your temps back.

Makes sense since if you could drop them then botting would be faster than doing Chest runs. I'm glad they didn't overlook it. (or got lucky lol)

Glad I did *** one of my chars over.

I can take the opportunity to see if having the temps matter before I go zone out to restore iit.

Interesting little tidbit.

Banish's SDT reduction vs undead appears to also extend to the DT that all Limbus mobs have. Banish II with +30 banish effect(which would cap the effect vs non-NMs) appears to be completely removing the damage reduction. And not just the regular undead related resistance.

I will note, for anyone who is not aware, that the special defense reduction effect on Banish can be resisted. And this was getting resisted a lot when cast by a GEO/WHM. 220 divine skill, +223 MND, and +499 macc. WHM main wouldn't have any issues, I'd think, but subbed divine skill is quite a nerf. And the effect seems to be inaccurate to begin with.

Still, pretty fun to be able to bypass the DT effect at all. If only on Undead mobs.

I noticed Tomahawk does the same thing, but for only one monster. I believe the new limbus mobs have +50 SDT to all types/elements which stacks with any preexisting +SDT. Elementals for example have 100% SDT to all physical damage.

Fortunately, the only regular Elementals currently present in Limbus are pets, which we can just ignore. But if they add any as regular mobs without adjusting the physical SDT value.. that's gonna be annoying.

Temp items being in your inventory is purely cosmetic reference points to let you see what floors you cleared.

Or it gave me the temp item some point way later and didnt tell me. I stopped checking for it after I re-cleared the floor, changed level to 119 then back to 130 and cleared the floor again.

Either way, the "bug" is of no concequence.

Bst has it easy, just pop Sultry Patrice, let it aggro everything, and then take them down one by one.
That little thing is a tank.

I would love to try a BST/COR (maybe 1 SMN party) in Limbus.

Is anything charmable by chance, even if just for silly shennanigans?

/dnc is a must for me, spectral jig is too good.
Some said there are charmable mobs in Temenos, but i havent seen a single one, they're all beastmen basically.
In Apollyon you can use charm.

There are a couple birds in there but nothing worth considering.

Arthur can take some hits too I imagine. Very high damage resistance and high HP, can spam Ooze for claim. Then again, Patrice has Fluid Spread + Digest Combo, which is basically a free Reward, plus more defensive survivability. Claim stuff > Snarl away the hate, easy choice. Super cool application, I love that little slime.

edit: oh yeah, bst sounds nifty with 3-trust limit. Can use a number of pets depending on what you want to do. Peter for heals and drop healer trust. Sheep for Rage and Sleepga. Raaz tank to eat the annoying mobs (Corse, Tauri etc).

Did you proceed to finish the set and open a chest before leaving the zone?

I reported back on page 3 that throwing away temp items and re-zoning replaces them, but I didn't try opening a chest with one "missing" to see if that also works.

I looked all around the central areas with no luck. Went there first since I thought the other zones are small enough someone would notice by now.

When I opened the chest, it said I lost all temp items, including the one I tossed. Just double checked by tossing multiple temp items moments before opening a chest:

I wouldnt be surprised if the one in temenos was broken
OR it pops up randomly when one specific mob dies.

Considering the temenos layout compared to apollyon, that would explain why there are less reports of it in Temenos. Temenos has one direct route between portals with mobs in separate groups, whereas in Apollyon you can fan out between portals and the mobs are all over the place.

There were also people who went in both zones and did some packet tomfoolery and deduced the ??? wasnt up in either zone after maint.

I did a couple runs through and wound up clearing out everything along the way over the 5 runs, other than central because it has more sets of mobs than needed, and I dont think I've popped it yet.

Either:
A-it pops after the mob despawns and I'm running away too quick.
B-its in central
C-theres some other condition, but I'm highly skeptical of that one.

On Lakshmi, the Temenos ??? did not move (or rerolled to the exact same spot) this week and does not give points to anyone who got the bonus units last week. Those who report that they didn't touch it last week are getting units.

Apollyon's ??? moved spots and gives units as normal.

There is plenty of very good items among +4
There is many WSD pieces beating R30 Nyame or being break even or slightly below. There is a real opportunity now to make Nyame path A,C or D for some slots on some jobs.
There is plenty of AF sets (or part of them), that are bis for accuracy and magic accuracy or both. There is obviously also many gear that was used even as +3, so now it's even better. There are several pieces that were glass cannon at +3 and got big enough magic evasion (some of them also physical evasion) boost at +4 to make them useable in hybrid set by mixing them with DT pieces. It's a VERY solid horizontal progression update, but people are spoiled by vertical progression upgrades and forgot it's not FFXIV.

Temenos is ID 16929543, which would be index(what you probably mean) 775, which is 0x307 in hex.

Apollyon is 16933460, 596, 0x254.
