Goodness, the leftward slant on this forum is pervasively overwhelming at times.
What I find interesting (yet logically distressing) about discussions on gender, in a political context, is the ironic clash between two opposing concepts:
1. The idea of an individual having a predetermined gender or sexual preference (the "Don't judge him, he can't help it, just embrace him and his lifestyle" mentality), versus
2. Folks on the same end of the political spectrum trumpeting the notion of gender "fluidity" and a long list of potential gender categories you can fall into, including one that even fluctuates!
I cannot resolve this discrepancy from the reasonable standpoint of a straight man. How exactly does your community reconcile these two concepts? If you mean to tell me that having a gender which fluctuates is considered an inherently locked variable of its own (a "fluctuating" gender), just as straight or gay might be, then I would say that you have just metaphorically divided by zero.
