On topic: Yay Russia for classifying things that are not mental illnesses as mental illnesses. -.- If the US prohibited everyone with a diagnosis from driving, everyone would be driving without a valid license. I like to consider myself fairly open-minded- but as someone somewhere once said, don't be so open-minded that your brains fall out.
I agree that hating someone because of something like that is HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE. I'd prefer to save such strong feelings for those who actually earn it. I disagree with transgenderism as a psychological dysfunction except possibly in the broadest sense of the term dysfunction, though. To me, that's like saying that I'm dysfunctional because I am female and identify as female. It's simply the way some people are. The fact that it causes depression and increased suicide rates is largely (in my opinion) the result of society rejecting that which doesn't fit "normal". That, to me, is a societal problem, not a mental problem. If we (we = people as a whole) didn't reject differences, it wouldn't be a problem.
