For starters most of us are actual players and use the website for FFXI purposes. Why should anyone have to filter through an assault of american political topics to enjoy the website.
One of the main features of FFXIAH is its frontpage being used to track shouts while we play. Yes anything can be ignored that go's without saying but that doesnt apply when to use a specific feature you have CAPITAL WORD!1! topics appearing right beside it. It's just as bad as old fashioned subliminal messages being used to sway the public.
This would not be an issue if either topics were moved off the frontpage or there was a feature to block a specific board like was suggested numerous times.

Glad to see you have something intelligent to add! I do tend to go to the extreme to make examples so even simple folk will understand.
Also that's a nice suggestion Jinjo. I turned off adblock on this website because I actually support the project so it would help to have an official solution.

If most people didn't post in p&r then most threads wouldn't be those threads. This is a ffxi community site and people who have been posting for years shouldn't be censured for people with 50 posts who only come to post dring screen shots and *** about the community. Learn to love it or gtfo. If there really was a mass majority that took offense the mods or admins would do something. Stop projecting your feelings onto the rest of people.
You could just bookmark http://www.ffxiah.com/shouts and you wouldn't have to see the topics on the front page at all if all you wanna do is track shouts

Complaining about that this site just should have game related topics is asking for this site to be dead. The game itself is pretty dead, the topics about content have been reducing a lot. When delve first came, we had daily 3 or 4 new threads to analyze one specific nm. Now we almost have no topic for most current battleifled because people just zerg it or rng it, so dont really bother posting the obvious.
Mind you, anything ffxi related has a [xi] icon near the title, so its very easy to skip unrelated to game threads. And judging how many topics doesnt have [xi] near the title, we can see the relevance of "others" topics non ffxi related. Currently, non game related topic are majority, and thats not a bad thing. Its good this site is strong, it doesnt end by himself to a game, in fact, it growed and acquired a unique identity, and for a lot of players who quitted this game, its an enjoyable place to pass time when work is at its most boring peak.
Also, "The Proud Whopper" would make a cool nickname for a penis. My penis, specifically.
Seriously I wish they would have offered this in all the cities doing a LGBT pride this year. I could have sent two kids to college by now the way I eat fast food!

As of today, I decided to quit posting on this forum.
The reasons behind this is because pretty much everyone is so bullheaded that they think that they, and only they, are absolutely correct and damn you for having a different thought in your mind.
I don't think I'm just as bad, but I don't want to turn into one who does.
So, after much thought I decided that this website is a major player of my grief because not only can I not express my true thoughts due to the set of rules that only a few people have to abide by (me being one of those people), but those who are able to be uncensored can pretty much say what they wish and I cannot truly retort the way I should (eye for an eye, so to say).
I do have the upmost respect for the admins and mods here for having to put up with me and pretty much everyone else all the time, so I don't (truly) fault them.
