well...I can't say I've ever had an issue with Hurkan on Rune. When I do feel inclined to stumble into Asura retardation that is delve, I can normally tank the whole fight on run/whm and having a whitemage or scholar healer works. Rune's magic resistance, boosted with tellus, DT gear, and bar-spell pretty much handles it before looking at val jas. The aura to not block/parry/etc is the only time there's serious physical damage, which again is completely manageable. This aura just seems to be total SE asshat action to make hurkan actually be a threat....how do you suddenly forget how to block / parry / guard?
I'm thinking I'll be more annoyed by the Snowcats forever terror/para aura crap. They'll have to fix the potency on that, or just throw 60000 rangers at it to be out of range.
oh well! something new to stab and listen to someone feel butthurt because their job is excluded!

I'm under the impression a lot of players dont know how dickish Snow Lions moves really are if you survive them... full stats down, random slot encumbrance etc.

He can dispel vallation/valiance, Aegis is still better. Static Prison is Hurkans most deadly attack. Magic Def Bonus down and you're history from that move. (Except for Aegis Paladins) 6 person group with:
Run/sam, Dnc/run for aoe waltz spam after aoe damage, Mnk/run for mantra, aegis pld, and a bard and yagrush whm at range to spam erase/cure.
I've done this kind of party for lowman hurkan and its fairly resilient and could translate to a viable fracture run setup.
The main danger has always been losing shell or not getting the magic defense down off or losing your runes, other than that the bird is very easy to bounce tank between the pld+run+dnc+mnk
Of course most people will just try to throw annihilator rangers at it and have a single tank responsible for keeping it still without losing hate. I think there will be alot of flexible setups that will work, its up to the players to try them and not fall back on previous delve setups.

6 man group doesnt have room for GEO. Likely still going to be a dry spell for GEO and RUN. Oh well they can keep BST, PUP, BLM, DNC, WAR company until the band wagon comes back around.

I think runes are not dispellable anymore, though other buffs still are.
Anyway I think rangers will still be preferred simply cause it's gonna be a piercing weak zone.

A properly geared WAR can outdamage most every DD out there and still survive. MNK is the only thing that comes to mind that would out DD a WAR in current content.

DRK, SAM, DRG, RNG, MNK, all of those except for DRK already have better use than WAR. A properly geared WAR has less survivability as well, and can't exploit multiple weaknesses like the others, either. with most mobs being at least neutral to slashing damage, if not resistant, WAR is only useful for zerging.

It's going to be the same slot drops as wkr gear only ilvl119 instead of 115 that's all. Only piece I'm excited for is a badass tamaxchi, 30% cure potency or some *** lol
The game could use
- a ilvl113 or 115 deadly crossbow that thf can use, since asking for 119 would be greedy
- more fast cast ilvl gear for more jobs
I agree about Tamaxchi, but instead of more potency, I want to see heavy amounts of +healing skill, Conserve MP, or MND. As a white mage, I'm happy with any of those three. Delve needs a 119 healing weapon that's drool-worthy because aside from Yagrush there's no great 119 WHM weapon.

Well geo can still fit in six man delve.... as the seventh member! Adding one extra person doesn't do that much for the NMs hp and defense wise. Just have them sit in the outside party and have the brd rotate them ballads. Def- for tree, and heck even magic attack-/magic acc- for hurkan and tiger should be very helpful. Perhaps you may be able to resist the doom from the tree with triple light runes and magic acc- from geo, and plfug, or just bring a TON of holy waters and enhances holy water equipment XD! (Yes i know putting up light runes will leave you vulnerable to the trees earth based attacks) Hrmm hurkan and tree are unstunable right? (Turns into Orriana) ~ That will be fun!

If they don't at least bring ilevel120 items with the new delve, it will fail. I don't think many people are going to be enthusiast shouting 2 hours to get their dual DDB BRD and GEO, to get 18 persons in an event that is going to drop sidegrades. Think DMII.

I'd like to see more jobs on these pieces, like x-bow with THF as mentioned earlier, SAM on a 119 Bow or Polearm, and would it kill them to put some actual magic skill on non-AF/RE gear?

Weakness duration being reduced, xp loss upon death being reduced. Raise & Arise-ga being given to SMN.. Something tells me AOE doom will not be the main danger :)

While the bosses are relatively predictable, I'm curious what kind of drops the 1-5 NMs will have. They pretty much covered all the weapon types with the older NMs at 113, and most of those weapons are pretty obsolete, as well as airlixirs. Perhaps some kind of way to upgrade those weapons/armor like with Skirmish, or just higher level weapon types.

Armors are probably the 3 new sets in the dats. Theyre also mixed and matched on the shades in the new zone.

I think it's time for monk to become second class DD on these new delve just because how bad the players abuse this job and pretty much ignore every other jobs and throw Monks on almost all contents released since last summer. It's sad to see that people cannot think outside the box when it comes to DD variety. On the other hand, it's great that tank job is back in the spotlight. SE just need to create contents that cannot be stun zerged and just throw a bunch of monks at it.

No stats implemented that I know of yet.
 
One looks like WAR AF4 if there ever was going to be an AF4 set.

"We are tired of MNK bandwagoning in abyssea", "finally something where PLD is useful". Oh look what happened ... It's been the same thing since forever. Salvage, abyssea, delve blablah. The only thing they manged to do (after 11 years of FFXI) were monk is not a must were VD versions of arkangel, in which all other melees are junk anyway. Call me when DRG or SAM is useful at something again (assuming they have ever been useful to anything).
I can tell you what will happen with new delve : PLD period were idiots from big LS start to troll endgame forums, RNG period when they try to actually kill something due to their inability to gear their DD properrly, MNK period because this is the LAW.

SE has nothing to do with the player base being comfortable with certain job set ups. It's no different when new contect is released and people RNG burn these jobs are basiclly the default set ups for the player base.
