Bush was pretty bad, but cant even hold a candle to Obama.
under what standards?

Constitutional standards are their any other kind?

I'm curious how the usurping of the 1st, 4th, 6th, and 8th amendments rates lower than requiring you to pay for your own damn healthcare, but bravo, you're one step short of dividing by 0.

How do those amendments justify forcing me to buy a over priced service I don't want? You guys are missing the whole point your being made to buy a service, whats next? Everyone is forced to buy an electric car to pollute less? Everyone is Forced to buy Government approved "insert unwanted stuff here". And when I say EVERYONE I mean EVERYONE THAT DOES WORK, because the people that dont will get it for free or a reduced price!

No wonder its all democrats are here cause damn.

Uh, people who don't work aren't more entitled to subsidy than people who do, that's a really warped way of looking at it because you're not focusing on people who don't work, you're focusing on the perceived tens of millions of people gaming welfare while sitting on the sofa and slamming down socialist pizza.

Also, I'm curious what potion of the Constitution Obama is violating and why you're so worried about the constitutionality of the individual mandate but don't care about:

1 Legislation based on religious beliefs

2 Unlawful search and seizure of your phone calls and emails

3 Police videotaping private conversations as evidence without being required to inform people they are on camera.

4 Bypassing your right to a speedy and public trial or to see the evidence presented against you, or even be present at your own trial

5 Governmental endorsement of torture and holding people indefinitely without evidence or charge

....Ya, I'm seriously angry that I now have to do nothing different than I've been doing for a decade and pay less for it.

Also, what Vic said.

The topic of this thread is the nullification movement and how it has allegedly reached "unprecedented heights." You are the one that brought us to healthcare, probably because you know nothing about the nullification movement.

Things people should be getting after the government about:

failing school system

that many members of congress still have jobs, and get paid for severely low performance

that we've almost finished our conversion to a corporatist nation, and that both major political parties play into it

fascism is next

that most gun regulations and pretty much the existence of the ATF is a constitutional violation

the nsa, the tsa, the patriot act.

warrantless wiretapping, videotaping, etc.

false arrests

the fact that most police forces have swat gear, in the facade that is the war on drugs

the war on drugs

etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc

But no we're going to focus on the Democrats for passing Republican written legislation about requiring people to have health insurance because too many people skip out of paying. By the way: here's a hint, if you don't want to pay for health insurance and don't want to pay the fine: claim numerous deductibles on your paycheck so they take nearly nothing out, so you have to pay the IRS at the end of the year, by law they cannot collect it otherwise, so if you don't have a refund, they can't take it.

Actually "States acting against fed. government" is what the topic says, the op has the state convention link in it which pertain's to just about everything in this thread. The nullification movement was one out of the two links. From what i can tell the state's have never had to convene against the federal government. hence the "unprecedented"

So for like the third time, stop putting words in mouth.

Small business owners and farmers cant afford to not file because the government has taxed them to the breaking point and they need that refund, which the ACA will now TAKE.

Small business owners get plenty of tax breaks, so do farms, and no, they won't. You do realize that people file their personal taxes separately from their business taxes, right? If they don't then they need to talk to an accountant.

The individual mandate applies to individuals.

I'm not sure how you can claim to stand for personal responsibility while parading around your refusal to buy insurance as some badge of freedom. Not having insurance when, by your own admission, medical costs are out of control is the complete opposite of responsible behavior especially if one has a family.

Edit: Typos, lol

You mean like Republican land where Obama has absorbed the power of Android 17 and 18 to attain his perfect socialist form?

Or where if you believe in any government programs you're a greedy communist looking to shake down those job creators?

Where anything but blind adherence to wasteful military spending is condemning our soldiers to getting killed overseas?

Where freedom comes by restricting the rights of mothers, LBGT and any other undesirables?

it's quite the opposite really, we understand that the world is very analog, and that it can't simply be a yes or no, and that there's many possibilities, yet most of us are either educated or spent a lot of time researching, observing and enriching ourselves in other cultures to come to conclusions, yes it makes some of us jaded, and we expect others to come to the same logical conclusions, and forget that others may need a bit of a push.

So, personally I will apologize for being a bit jaded.

while you guys where out getting educated, researching, observing and enriching yourselves in other cultures. I was running a 500 acre dairy farm from the age of 18, the past decade and a half has been nothing but price's for everything needed to run it going up and the product I ship stay the absolute same. (Because the government regulates the milk price) Since I was literally forced into bankruptcy from new laws being passed on Mega-Farms 100x my size, but took effect on me as well I've been a bit weary of the government. Your logical conclusions seem to support bigger government which I oppose and find very unamerican.

My logical deductions are supported by logic and have nothing to do with being American or Anti-American.

However if you want to get into it: stop blaming the government on your failure of running a business, it's not their fault you failed to adapt. It's part of running a business.

Nothing I've said supports larger government, in fact I suggested reducing the government's size numerous times, however my priorities differ greatly from yours. I have no problem with the government getting involved in healthcare, or breaking up monopolies. I have a problem with the government butting into people's sex lives, or wiretapping people illegally, or infringing on people's gun rights, or rights to free speech.

There's numerous aspects of running a business but the number one factor in failure is bad management, and failing to adapt to laws is bad management.
