Kinda odd that the states are unprecedentedly standing up against such a wonderful president that only wants to help with his executive powers and pen.

Last time we had this sort of union, we had a Civil War.
Anyone up for Civil War part II: This Time with Nukes!
I heard it's good at the start, but it sucks at the end.

I don't believe we had a civil war in the 60's* or the 70's*.
States have been upset with the Federal government several times before the civil war and after.
Edit: just to be clear *1960's, 1970's

The people that claim to champion for the Constitution would do well to actually read the thing. They would sound less like this guy: Area Man Passionate Defender Of What He Imagines Constitution To Be

States have been upset with the Federal government several times before the civil war and after. That's because only hippies were upset. And who care what they think?
Now that you piss off the working class, shits going down!

That's an unproven claim, but I think they can. Only simple sentences though.
Throw anything with more than 5 letters and watch the hilarity ensue.

Speaking of which, Jericho was a good show; shame it got canned, un-canned, and then re-canned with attitude.

I heard it's good at the start, but it sucks at the end. Not for the nukes or war, but the great country that we are is just too big to please everyone! I would not be opposed to two separate countries that are friendly towards each other, but why do that when we have 50 individual states that are capable of governing themselves already??

Civil Rights MovementStill didn't prove anything. The civil rights movement was hippies and a few working class v. the working class. Not really government v. people.

I guess George Wallace was a hippy. So were the Southern states that discussed not allowing the federal government to intervene in desegregation. Brown vs. Board of Education

Brown vs. Board of Education Gods and small fishes, don't engage the idiot. You think he's going to grasp the premise of the Civil Rights Movement when he thinks that slaves just have to pull up anchor and run away to freedom, riches, and loose women?

If anything, that would put him in the other side of the "hippie and a few working class" of that little fight.
Point missed.

But yeah, take my point and completely turn it so you attempt to say something I didn't say, but only to fail miserably at it.
Good job guys!

Our empirical studies have showed that he doesn't seem to grasp the use of textbooks either. BRB, publishing!

Point missed. Yes, KN I can clearly see you have missed the point.
The states did not want the federal government to intervene. It was very much a states vs. federal government issue. It was, quite frankly, a complicated issue that caused a lot of problems and still didn't cause a civil war.

You guys are trying too hard.
But keep supporting each other with a failed premise. One day, it might seem true!

Not a majority, but a small minority.
Good attempt though.
Say, how many states sued the federal government in 2010 again? Wasn't it 26, you know, greater than half of the country? Lets see if you realize that little tidbit.

Nullification movement has existed since the US Constitution was ratified, has never slowed down, and will never slow down. Nothing that is happening now is "unprecedented." You think State vs Federal is new? Just because you choose to notice something doesn't make it news, it just shows you have been out of touch your entire life.

I'd suggest any states making a real stand should stop taking in the billions in federal aid they get every year to really stick it to em.

Yea the civil rights movement and what we have going on now is totally the same thing... /looks for the sarcasm button. Your words:
Quote: Kinda odd that the states are unprecedentedly standing up against such a wonderful president that only wants to help with his executive powers and pen.
It's not unprecedented.
Your first site lists this
Quote: The Federal Government is broken.
Washington D.C. will never voluntarily relinquish its power. Left unchecked, the government will continue to bankrupt this nation and destroy the liberty of the people. It is time for citizens and the States to act and we have the solution.
The US has had federal vs. state problems for decades. Really since the beginning of the US.
