The word idiot derives from the ancient Greek. Well actually its almost unchanged except that it lost the political connotation. The literal translation is "non voter" the idiomatic translation is exactly how we use the word today.

I thought Chanti took it from an FFXIclopedia page personally.

and that really tickles my mittens!
Well we wouldn't want that....
The difference between the two parties is republicans have good ideas and horrible people and the democrats have people with good intentions but terrible ideas.
Chris Christie - overweight megalomaniac hell bent on the destruction of his enemies. New Jersey - doing considerably well considering it's New Jersey.
and on the other hand you have Obama who seems like a likable guy... America - desperately fighting to avoid causing a catastrophic world wide depression and global meltdown every fifteen minutes.
Obama's ideas would be good ideas if they remained on paper or in intellectual discussion, but when they are implemented in the real world they crumble.
The ACA is a prime example. For years people have been saying there was no way it could work. We call those people racists.
But god bless them. they were really on to something. The ACA sounds like a good and fair plan however the reality is that like all liberal plans it relies on people doing the right thing. Which has never happened in the history of forever.
If people were at all capable of doing the right thing we wouldn't need the plan in the first place. But they can't. Which is why we can't have nice things...etc.
tldr: bad is good. vote megamind for world leader

'101' indicates something. Doesn't mean Democrats don't do it, it's just that Republicans resort to it for everything.
For example, recently, when asked why they decided not to extend unemployment benefits, their only answer is to shift the attention to Obamacare. That's not something a Democrat would do.
I'm no democrat, but the both-sides/same thing mentality is one of the things wrong with the political landscape in this country. Fox News says horrible things and incites violence on a regular basis, MSNBC says that Romney's family, with their adopted African American child, is a good representation of the diversity in the republican party as a joke, and somehow they're both equally malicious.
Have you been asleep the last five years? Are you saying, that you have never seen Obama or the Democrats in Congress deny that a scandal exists and/or blame Republicans for all the ills of the world? How do you make such an outrageous claim in this thread and it goes unchallenged by the usual word-parsing, hair-splitting sad ***? Nothing you said here is remotely fact. You are blinded by hatred and you are babbling.

NEW REVLATIONS!!!
N.J. mayor: Christie's staff held Sandy relief funds hostage
Quote: The mayor of Hoboken, N.J., says she was told by top officials in Gov. Chris Christie's administration that she would have to go along with a private development project the governor wanted in order for her city to receive Hurricane Sandy relief money.
Ah... New Jersey....

The Democrats and the troglodytes of the tea party actually agree on something.
Neither of them want Christie to run for President. Both of them want to see a radical tea party "conservative" as the Republican candidate.

You act like it matter who the Republicans actually nominate. The left will demonize whoever it is as extreme right, hates the poor, hates women, etc etc. Look at what you liars all did to Mitt Romney. You can't be more moderate than Mitt Romney and the Democrats made it sound like women will be wearing burqas if he was elected.
I know you've already been told who you are voting for three years from now. The idea has already been implanted in millions of minds by propaganda in the media. You will be voting for Hillary, if/when she runs. You don't know why. You don't know what she'll do. You don't know where she stands on anything other than she likes abortion, like a lot, but you know you will be voting for her without question.
You better hope she runs though. The bench on the Democrats' side is awfully thin.

Mitt made all his own mistakes, the left wasn't nearly as hard on him as the right was on Obama. And neither were focused on the fact that neither candidate was experienced or qualified.

Obama was elected twice in America. There no longer are qualifications to be President.

Not a single thing was said about Mitt Romney that had a bigger impact on his campaign than his own words did. Good try tho.

As compared to Mitt Romney or Sarah Palin, Obama was far more qualified to keep the seat warm for whoever the next half-wit will be. At least he's ineffective, we'd have some really major problems if the current GoP had control of all 3 branches.

I'll take your deflection and lack of defense of President Obama, and also your lack of providing even one single accomplishment in the man's life, as you accepting the point I made, agreeing with it, but also feeling like arguing anyway.

the point you made is that there are no more qualifications for PotUS because Obama had little experience. In a 2 party system, you essentially have 2 choices, he was the lesser of two evils in consecutive elections. If you think Obama is such a unqualified person, what does that say about the people the GoP is running?

I'm curious what things you think were said about Romney that had a larger impact on his votes than his own flip-flopping and horribly run campaign?

You aren't curious and you just referred to Obama as the lesser of two evils, so tell me what do you think was evil about Mitt Romney. You ignore Mitt Romney's entire professional and political resumes and put them on par with a rookie that never had a job in his life let alone managed anything. You take a man that made everything better that he was ever involved in or led and you choose a loser over him that never did a thing in his life except gave a good speech.
How was Bill Clinton more qualified than Mitt Romney? Romney had more qualifications and successes than any President you can name. But this coming from someone that said JFK was not qualified does not surprise me.

Of course the left will but the right is better at demonizing Democrats. And most Republicans DO hate the poor and despise women.
Phoenix.Amandarius said: »You better hope she runs though. The bench on the Democrats' side is awfully thin.
Not nearly as thin as the Republicans even with Christie. Therefore my statement about Quote: The Democrats and the troglodytes of the tea party actually agree on something.
Phoenix.Amandarius said: »Obama was elected twice in America. There no longer are skin color qualifications to be President. Corrected.
I guess we should talk about this:
http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/09/politics/chris-christie-bridge-primer/index.html?hpt=hp_t1
Aside from the obvious, which is that this kind of political payback is disgusting and wrong, I think that this scandal damages Chris Christie's 2016 chances. Over the next few days and weeks we should get a clearer picture of his actual involvement, so maybe I'm off-base and he'll escape unscathed.
Anyone else got thoughts on this whole debacle?
