That gun+midrium bullet is gonna do some insane Last Stands. The third wall will really be broken like in the animation and you'll see the bullet firing off your screen.

These weapons do look unbelieveable, but here is the question. They are auction house weapons, now seeing this either they will being raising craft caps again to make these new weapons, or the mats too make these are going too be either super k club drop rate rare or just annoying to farm. Let alone the cost of what these mats will be.
Also seeing these weapons i see all salvage2 gear and NNI gear about too be blown out of the window very soon even though atleast 8 of the 15 pieces are very very situational anymore!
Input or judge based off what i said i'm used too it on these forums xD.

The point would be to 'persuade' the 11 playerbase into jumping ship to 14. Or maybe retain as many paying customers as possible when your company has suffered the worst 8 quarters in its history.
If this is their plan, I'd hate to meet whoever came up with this idea. They would be better off actually considering some of what their playerbase actually asked for. I dunno about you, but did ANYONE actually want such a game breaking update? Where goes the fun of everything when theres no challenge in any way shape or form?
I haven't played in 3 weeks. Last update motivated me enough to take a break. I was anxiously waiting for this update to confirm my fears and validate my decision to just not bother. Honestly, I can't be bothered to play hamster. And it looks like the wheel is accelerating. call me weak and not fit to survive, but I'm tired of working towards things and having SE reward me with these kind of updates that really only cater to those of us who did nothing but use AH gear.
I suppose this was what abyssea was heading toward; a ffxi where players who put effort into the game are no longer the ones rewarded, but casual players can now be on par with top end players in under a month.
Totally ridiculous.

Well, with weapons like this, who needs a tank or buffs for anything? not sure about the tank.. but might still want 2x march!... unless SE decides to give rdm haste 2 and cap haste w/ it.

What in the world was SE thinking with those weapons?
SE Dev 1: Players keep zerging down every bit of content we send their way. What can we do to get them to incorporate other jobs into events and come up with different strategies?
Dev 2: Double the amount of damage a DD can inflict so they won't need to use as many, thus freeing up spots for typically unused jobs?
Dev 1: F*cking brilliant!
Thus the April 29th update was born...

Whatever the mats for the new AH gear, it's highly unlikely any of the NQ weapons will be on sale for higher than 10m.
Even as someone who quit but still trawls forums for laughs, this is obscene. The difference between these weapons and other lv 99 weapons is far too different to be realistic - or in any way fair. Never before has SE completely relegated every single pre-update weapon in one shot, so in that sense I'm hoping that either the .dats are wrong or someone is trolling hard.

It crushes even ***that came out last update and by an EXTREME margin. I would think there's a chance that either SE is *** with dat mining, or there will be some sort of "only usable during x. or y hidden drawback" but I didn't want to deal with LOLOLOL I TROLLU LELELELE UMAD.
It would be one thing to scale up in the grand scheme of things. it would be another to double the damage rating on some weapons with no forethought as to how it destroys all current content etc.
Would the new weapons crush skirmish and wildfire reid 3 hnm's weapons?

Yes. Utterly destroys everything that currently exists, even with the most perfect augments you could give them.

The next version update is scheduled to come a-ridin' into town at the end of April, hot on the heels of last month's update!
The update will wrangle together further enmity adjustments, reive adjustments, attribute corrections and adjustments associated with weapons skills learned through merit points, cap increases for magic skills, and a bevy of job-related adjustments.
Also coming in guns a-blazin' is all-new battle content which takes aim at players who have completed existing Wildskeeper Reive and Skirmish content. |
