I have yet to get booted again since the first 2 days after launch, but I play mostly at night so maybe that's why. Pings go down to 30~45ms after midnight o_o

One key to making "looting for looting's sake" more enjoyable is stacking MF gear. Elites should drop rares fairly often and bosses should drop multiple rares when you get high enough. Also fully exploring a map, leaving no pile of skulls/rocks unturned, killing every mob, etc is part of the exploration/dungeon crawling experience. If you don't find it addicting as crack, D3 might not be the game for you. But you should still play to the end of the story! This time around it's really polished well.

@60 you get a stacking buff that increases the drop rate of boss-type monsters substantially by clearing zones.

Kind stopped playing my barbarian as I found out they're EXTREMELY squishy in Hell. Switched to a monk and I faceroll anything now haha

So I've been reading that there is no offline mode for this yet (WTF!?) Has anyone heard about them implementing that at all? Can't see a reason why i should need an active connection to play single player. I like Steam for that very reason, don't have to be online to play my games.

Pretty sure it's not going to be implemented cause bliz is scared of pirating. Which is stupid cause they had a setup with SC2 that stopped it...

Pretty sure there will never be a true offline single player mode. The reason for being online onry is to prevent cheating and piracy.

You use the same characters. All single player mode is is basically a locked online game, which you can actually open to the public at any point.

I have the most broken setup with WD. On hell mode now, and with this setup, stuff is just too easy. Dire Bats OP

lv60 monk, just killed skeleton king on inferno. so easy to die... theres only been 2 groups of elites ive actually been able to kill. since they get 4 traits. oh yeah and if you dont kill elites on inferno quick enough you start to gradually lose HP from the status you get from it

I personally hate mortar wallers on my DH. that and anything with vampiric.

Just get a Shield...and Become a PALADIN! i did that..maintained 4000 Health...785 Damage 1850 Armor rating...its not bad..and remember Blocks work!

i did dual wield/ spear through nightmare and hell. had no problem really except again from elite sets. just started using a shield on inferno.

Pretty much playing my Monk like a Paladin.

Skill Set

Weapon + Shield, gearing with a slant towards HP (VIT and Life+%) with DEX wherever I can get it along with not lowering my HP or damage resistance (both armor and elemental resistances) by too much. Works well since I'm duoing it all with a pure DPS class, but I'd imagine that if you were solo, you'd want to focus a bit more on DEX gear and probably swap out Cyclone Strike for a DPS ability. I have it on there because the draw in is great for keeping mobs off of others and bunching them up for AoEs.



The shield really isn't necessary, I feel I'd be fine without it until Inferno (I'm on Hell now) but the extra security on Champions is very nice. The only things that ever kill me are mob traits like Molten and Arcane Enchantment, which a shield does nothing for.

i use dex and vit build. 1100 dex 900 vit 7k dps 39k hp (not exact, not on game atm)

Resonance is pretty useless tbh. :X 2/tic spirit regen isn't much, and 7 extra minutes on Mantras is only nice to have, not a necessity. Increasing all of your resistances to the highest level you have is absolutely amazing.

the reason i use resonance is because on hell/inferno i was/am kiting many mobs and the ranged lashing tail kick is really nice to use. and the spirit regen really helps

Got the graphics card installed over the weekend (it runs as smooth as an infant's bottom), and just beat the game an hour and a half ago on Normal. I think this has become my favorite Blizzard Franchise. I might backtrack to the other games if all seems fit to do so.

Lv.31 Witch Doctor with this skillset. I'd like to work on a Demon Hunter and Barbarian as secondaries, to boot. XD

Only made it to Act 3 normal so far 27 zerg atm. Mostly because I am the type that checks everything, scouting entire map etc. the first time. Plus wasted a little time farming to get BS up some. Like the game so far other than my crappy comp lagging me so bad in certain zones my run speed is walk speed :(. Which will prolly be a problem later on unless I find a way to fix it. Either way if anyone wants to do some runs I am usually around or can be if you give me some notice.

Not really. If you connect to the SC2 servers once, you're allowed to play without internet. The first connection verifies that you have actually bought the game as it'll be linked to your BNet profile. I do it all the time when the servers are down.

It worked well for me, had enough defensive things to tank and enough offensive to send those foul demons back to the pits of hell. I was dual-wielding, which made the most use of frenzy.

I did have to change them for the final battle to be more tanky. We did it in a group of 4, with 2 of them being under level 10 to see how tough it would be :P
