Hit 51 Barbarian, working on Nightmare Diablo... he's a *** ***... Died like 20 times at least Found what appears to be a pretty OP combo for Monk. Still some runes and traits later on that I want to experiment with though.
I shall call it Oliver Gearing tons of VIT and DEX. Demon hunter is basically a bow amazon with traps, but not traps like assassin traps. They're more melee ranged oriented or utility based(snare/root).

Always liked paladin a lot in D2 as well, except that it seemed to always have the same issue I'm having with monk now; getting kinda torn up when getting swarmed by small mobs.

so question for you all:
I've got a demon hunter and the fact that you can dual wield crossbows SEEMS cool, but you never actually attack with weapons it's always abilities. Ability damage is based on weapon damage, but how's that work with dual wielding? Should I just stick to quivers for the dex and thus damage bonus you can usually get? as far as I've been able to tell, the dual wielded weapon doesnt boost your weapon damage, you only gain the other stats off of the weapon. I may be wrong though.
Overall quivers seem the best way to go, as they usually come with a sizable DEX and attack speed boost. it seems when u dual wield the weapon you use to attack and use abilities alternates between each other. i was using a 110 and a 70 dps weapon and it was very noticeable when i was using which to hit
Also: Lv45 monk now I have noticed a lot of quivers have attack speed on them so once again I have to decide haste or dual-wield.
I swear, I will never be able to not play FFXI ever again.

Yes all quivers have +attack speed on them. Believe the higher level ones have more.
But I believe I read if you dual wield you get +15% attack speed. Got DH to 15 last night. Chakram is the greatest ability in the world. Can plow down big groups like nothing with it and then take down bosses with Rapid Fire. Totally digging DH, better then a ranged Amazon ever was :O D: It's too small, I can't read it.
I will be deeply saddened if that is true.
You're doing something wrong because my friend says his barb does insane damage and he's in act2 nm.
