Barbs are so lucky to have that "armor from vit" trait. Basically they can stack str/vit/all res all day with a couple "life on hit / attack speed / crit rate" as icing on the cake and face tank half of anything. 60-100k hp on barb isnt even hard to achieve with a reasonably low gold influx, while still maintaining respectable DPS. Add in 2-3 abilities that give barb +%hp regen over time and there's no reason I can see someone buying hardcore items (unless they're impatient or don't know the value of money).

Life steal is better when your dps is stupidly high. And on the hardcore market, the higher level gear is way more expensive cuz there's fewer people actually able to farm it. So the demand is high buy the availability of pieces are super low. So if you want to make $$ from d3 probably best to get 60 hardcore and farm and don't die :P

Lifesteal is nerfed 80% in inferno. You'd need 30k DPS on barbarian for the rare 5% life steal to beat out the relatively common 300 life on hit :x

Well yeah but most of the demon hunters (the ones i know) die 2-4 times a day during the best of times whether due to lag/bs minions etc. I don't think my nerves could handle hardcore anymore let alone the HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE *** you can get in d3.

If your looking for 60 gear your better off doing inferno even if you die a lot. Hell scaling isn't what blizzard makes it to be. Ran it pretty non-stop since whenever my son dropped my staff and I had to get gold to rebuy staff upgrades.

Now even spamming I have done I dunno 200ish Hell runs and only got 3 rare 60's. Some with full valor before enterting but most of the time I just enter because I have 180ish MF when I enter without stacks built anyways. Generally most is 54-59ish some as low as 30ish. Inferno ponies is where it's at if you looking for real 60 upgrades if you can manage it. Which even my crappy DH can grind its way through so most should be able to. And my dps is generally around 45kish because 9 out of 10 times I get tired of swapping sets and just fulltime MF after awhile. It's close to 100k with full dps set but my lazyiness after a few runs gets the best of me.

You need to have a good use of CC moves in inferno. Many end-game monk builds will have you using blinding flash for your third non-mantra skill. I personally use seven sided strike for two reasons: 1) the obvious damage increase as opposed to an attack that just blinds elites for a half-second and more importantly 2): a well timed strike can avoid: arcane sentries, mortars, molten mob explosions, frozen orb explosions, ETC ETC ETC.

I can take a nap on most jobs if you time the skills right (berserkers wind up for the "my pick gets stuck in the ground" strike, Leoric charges up before his golf swing, angels shreik before charging etc etc). If you have two skills that can do this (or a good timing with smokescreen on DH) you only have to worry about the "non-1shot" skills. That's a whole different story :3

I just do inferno warden/butcher runs. Make like 30-50k in gold drops and +100-200k in item drops but it's all low tier. On the other hand my friend that plays wizard just bypasses everything in act IV and nukes Diablo like butter. With 5 stacks of NV ofc.

Only way I can do boss run's on DH is stacking massive dps and zerging them down because of my lag. Which isn't gonna happen anytime soon. Is why I do ponyland and decent gold if anything.

Tons of rumors floating that drop rates where nerfed too. Dunno how much fact is behind it though. Could see it being possible ninja nerf before 1.03 comes into effect or trolls being trolls. Which if true just makes things more annoying for people not trying to AH/RMAH when possible. Guess I will find later today when I go back to farming inferno ponies.

*edit* Yeah just noticed that, I meant quality. People were reporting tons of stuff dropping lower tier stuff then usual.

Finally getting back to leveling and grinding up.

still need mah gold for my pony stick (urgggg) but hey i'm about to hit 40 so i'm happy lol.

At level 60, whenever you kill an elite pack you get +1 NV up to +5 max. Each one adds +15% MF and GF. Having 5 also grants guaranteed 2 rares from bosses (will change to 1 rare per boss and 1 rare per elite pack in the next update).

Yeah maps are randomly generated each time you make a game, so you lose them everytime you make a new game.

Just got back from the store with some monsters, time to settle in and play some-...thing else on PS3 I guess.

I have a friend who made $7.85 this morning. I listed a few things after looking at the prices of similar items, everything was around $50 so I listed mine for $20. Within a few hours dozens of similar items popped up for $2-5 a piece so now I get to wait until my stuff expires and relist it all for a few bucks instead.

I have worse luck on this AH than I do in the FFXI AH, and I bought Aurore for 2+ mil.

I think real money AH would ruin the game for me. I'd probably sell everything decent I got :/

Fun fact if anyone was wanting to get the authenticator but don't have a smartphone, if you have an iPod touch you can still download the app and it works. First time I have used my iPod in like 8 months.

Couldn't sleep. Figured I would get up and play around for a little while... unscheduled maintenance, yay.

Blizzard has officially over taken SE for shittiest customer service in the world. The servers have been down for almost as long as they have been up.

What I loved the most was "Scheduled maintenance" when all we had was a 15 minute warning.

Only have to deal with it for 3 months and 4 more days.

I also love how the server status page always shows the game up. This honestly seems like something that would be easy to fix, yet they don't.

I just pop into streams to see if servers are up or not.
