Can anyone tell me why the *** is it impossible to join a PT with more than 1 other person in it...it seems the only plausible way to get a 3 or 4 man group is if you know each other...

lvl 25 Witch Doctor here btw, i love this job...and this game, im hooked, but this "cant join a 'PT' with more than 1 other person" *** needs to be fixed yesterday.

Just got started on Act III

What do you mean by this? I've only solod and played with friends, but why can't you get a 3-4 person party in random games?

Sounds like money of many bugs they're working on, I'm sure they know of this one considering how much complaining goes on already on the forums. Someone must've brought it up.

it could have to do with the availability of open games with more than 1 person in it
a lot of people could be starting their own open game instead of joining a random public game, which would lead to a lot of games with just 1-2 people in them o_O
if 2 people start an open game, it won't join them, they'll be in separate games
also not sure what the priority for adding players is. it could be even distribution (fill up all games until each have 2 players, then start adding players to 2 player games such that each have 3 and so on)

I have no idea honestly, just been soloing until I figure more things out

Brief rant, apologies.

I will never, ever, f***ing ever understand the "hacker" mindset. Ruin a good time for hundreds of thousands of other normal people because you disagree with the company on their chosen method of game control? Really?

How petulant, spoiled and conceited of an attitude is that? Exactly what makes people think they’re entitled to exactly what they want, how they want it, especially when half of them won’t even pay for it no matter how accommodating it is? Is it really such a damned inconvenience to have to be connected to a server to play? Don't most of the people here play FFXI/WoW/some other MMO regularly anyhow?

I guess it just comes down to the fact that what they’re doing is literally criminal and like most other criminals out there, they have no sense of anything beyond their selfish little world.

Rant over.

That said. Got to level 9 Barbarian myself last night, killed the skeleton king. Good times were had. I look forward to wearing out my mouse this weekend.

Agreed. But as Ron White so eloquently put it, "You can't fix stupid."

And when your mouse breaks.

Only things that I've found weapons to affect have been base attack speed, damage, and stats. So... no not really. You can wear whatever you want outside of class specific weapons. I prefer dual wielding because I like speed.

I was actually looking at picking that mouse up. I've been using the mouse that came with my PC for quite a while, even after upgrading the keyboard to a G510. But with Diablo being the incesant clickfest that it is, I think it may be time to upgrade.

yes it's that inconvenient to have to be connected to play a single player mode of a game.

and yes companies should give customers what they want, if the company doesn't give it to them they'll find somebody/something else that will.

it is criminal, but then again in this state so is having sex without being married, with the lights on, anything but missionary, laws don't make ***, especially ones that are arbitrary. It's not that much of a stretch to not care about laws that are there for a good reason.

while I kind of disagree with hurting other players, if it's done long enough the players may demand an offline mode for their game, that is the only logical good I can see coming out of this. Aside from that I think it's kind of silly.

How is it that terrible? I really don't understand.

Then find something else already and show them with your checkbook. D(Or money orders, or gamer cards, or whattever other method of payment you use. I know a lot of the entitled people out there don't actually have checking accounts...)

So you're saying it's ok for me to walk up and shoot someone in the face, if it's for a good erason, without due process...as long as I can justify it. Cool. Justifying theft has become one thing the internet is absolutely amazing at doing. Citing silly antiquated anti-sodomy laws that exist in some places is a thin premise. It has merit on some level, but is ultimately a flawed argument.

I'm not saying I wouldn't have preferred an offline mode, but it's not the end of the god damn world and it certainly isn't worth commiting a felony over.

Edit: Don't get me wrong. I'm actually fairly anti-DRM - once I've paid for something, I should be able to use it as I wish provided I'm not freely redistributing it - but I'm also anti-entitlement. People are not entitled to all the free music, movies, images, games and other media that they desire. Someone has to work to put these products out and should be compensated as such.

If people were guaranteed to pay for their game and not pirate it (or hack it to gain an unfair advantage over others), these issues wouldn't exist.

So, essentially, the people getting upset enough to hack and commit these other attacks and the cause of the reason they're getting upset enough to commit these acts.

combined with not having lan and living in an area that can't get high speed internet, and having a main source of internet being a patchy 3g tethering job.

you don't understand it because you don't experience life without it.

by the statement of somebody else will I meant they will hack it, it's the entire reason the homebrew community exists for consoles, they want features the companies themselves won't provide.

I never said that: apples and oranges.
Pirating isn't theft, sorry to tell you. Theft implies removing an object from somebodies possession and placing it in your own.
copying 0's and 1's isn't theft, no matter what people try to say.

I just disagree, it breaks the game to not have an offline+lan mode for a new game in a series that historically does.

There's no way to make that guarantee, none even with The solution would solve itself if they lowered the reason to pirate: cost, but they'd rather fight a pointless battle.

and no: some people (like me) will buy things from time to time, but I won't pay for a broken game, they have forced my hand now, so if I acquire it: it will be when it's available to private server/offline, and I will pirate it when that time comes.

let me ask you: which is more "right" to buy a used game at gamestop or to pirate it from a buddy? the company who made it gets none of that $ anyway.

with enough time/pressure it could.

say the servers were down/spotty (to the almost unplayable point) for 3 months, how many refunds do you think will be demanded?

(like I said I don't agree with this particular action anyway)

Plenty, but I doubt they'd change the structure of their game rather than trying to find ways around the hacker.

Intellectual theft is still theft, no matter what you try to say.

Not saying I don't do it myself, but you are just putting blinders on your eyes to say that you gained a product, that time and resources went into, without paying for or being gifted said product.

If you overhear a co-worker talking about a great money saving idea, but you tell the CEO first and claim the credit, you stole the idea. You took intellectual property that would have garnered a gain for another person/entity. Pirating software and media is exactly the same.
