Beat inferno Belial today... His last form was the easiest >_>
Really? Well that's encouraging. On both normal and nightmare I've had to change my build and gear to not get one-shotted by his ridiculously long explosion-fest. He somehow usually manages to trap me in a spot by having absolutely everything around me explode such that I can't safely run anywhere.
Also, anybody heard if/when/how they might fix that attack speed increased by X% glitch? I crafted some pants that I used for about 15 minutes before I realized that the 10% attack speed wasn't doing anything at all. They might actually be useful if they worked.
Oh, I'm sure the explosion fest would have 1-shot me, I'm just good at dodging it. For his final form all I did was put venom hydra in his face and re-cast blizzard every few seconds while dodging everything he did to me.

The adds on Stage1/2 are the real challenge on the Belial fight. Just got to Act IV Inferno legit a little while ago. EXTREMELY PROUD and yet damaged. :(
Also, there is an option to change how items show up on the ground. You can change it to toggle with alt. However, I think items ALWAYS show up for a few seconds right after they drop regardless.
The problem is regardless of what you set that option to, mousing over an item will always display it, meaning if you click it you will pick it up. People want to do away with gray/white items but I don't care so much for that, especially considering that includes gems and tomes so they're not really thinking that through...
I'd rather see them implement D2's /nopickup or something like it since it worked so well. It's something that should be off by default as it would seriously confuse new players, but to not have it at all is just lazy.
Really enjoying Barb, hit level 52 and playing an almost purely defensive build in Act 1 of Hell atm. My damage blows but I almost never die unless I just forget to use Revenge.
That being said I tried making an offensive setup, spent about 100k total on stuff focusing mainly on STR so it is kinda lacking in VIT. It's a full complement minus gloves if anyone wants it you can have it all for free just hit me up in game (Janakin617#1346) and a fairly decent weapon with like level requirement -14 or something like that on it. My AH is 10/10 with a few other things I am looking to sell, its not terribad stuff so I'd rather not sell it or smash it if I can give it away to someone who might use it (or sell it or smash it lol).
I would just be happy with a auto-loot option personally. Can easily toss/vendor unwanted items but stopping every couple sec's to pickup everything does get annoying.
Also hope the rumored macro system comes into effect. Having to kite an elite while swapping into mag+ for deathblow sucks at times. Not to mention holding onto the different sets. Almost vendor'd some of my mag+ gear a few times by accident. Like an option to lock items in the bag or something would be nice but one step at a time I suppose.
Started up my HC mode Barbarian... first barbarian so far. So *** easy, but viscerally satisfying.
I never tried hardcore, if you die at any point your character is gone right? That has got to pretty much rule out playing with strangers, would hate to be in the middle of a fight and someone DC or *** up and my character being gone as a result.
Yes, everything is lost except what's in your hardcore stash afaik. Your HC stash and money are separate from your normal ones. Idk if it's separate for each HC character or if it carries over to other HC characters.
My goal is to hit 60 without losing a single character. So far so good..

Next patch
EDIT: Trying to look it up on google but can't find a site that shows how much xp is needed at each level. Anyone know?

I started a HC character last night. Ended up getting two shotted by a rare mob towards the end of act 1 when I was only LV 9 :|

Level 9 is really early for the end of a1 >_> I think I was like 13-15 at that time.

yeah... Got lucky with venders and drops too. Had like +56%magic find. And my friend was playing with me with his 22 barb. Apparently he was kiting the rare mob around while aggroing everything else. I poked he rare mob. Nailed me for like 95% of my health. I popped my monk heal. Then whoosh dead :|
Honestly I don't see coop being good for hardcore.. everything will hit a lot harder. Inferno coop makes it almost impossible to tank rares without kiting/invuln
I'm going to have to be really comfortable playing on my own in Inferno before I even think about starting a hardcore character in any difficulty. It's a badass idea to be that high level of hardcore, but fact is, I've died 2-3 in Normal playing through on a regular character just b/c I didn't pay attention and tabbed out of the game for like 30 seconds.

don't forget, if you're playing solo and you press esc, it pauses the game. I always do that before i alt tab
D3 seems way too randomly mean to play HC. Your death seems inevitable, either by your failure, programming failure, hardware failure, connection failure, or other. I can imagine successfully grinding to 60 once you know the game very well, and with a measure of luck, but then what? Never touch the character again? Seems like you'd end up with a porcelain doll rather than a toy, not to be played with but just looked at. Doesn't sound like much fun to me ;/
Hardcore inferno Barb, I really like this guys other videos. He has a lot of great tutorials and build setup ideas for solo play.
Edit - For example in his Barb Build/Spec video he explained that Wrath of the Berserker breaks CC and makes you immune to it as well, and that stomps draw in doesn't work on elites.
