I would say so o.O. I was about 31 by the time I finished act 4. Regardless, I'm just farming up a bunch of stuff to sell on the AH. Gotta love being able to constantly farm the Warrior's Rest for rare/legendary items :D.

my biggest complaint...
constant online needed for single player... smallest pickup with your connection and you get kicked. also experiencing latency issues in single player... is by far one of the most annoying things ever...

currently level 41, total playtime is around 24 hours.
beat normal, on Act II 1/2 though on nightmare

a bit disappointed the game is "shorter" than its older versions.
safe to say bliz is gonna rake in on expansion packs for the remainder

love the auction house!

on the matter of the AH, anyone figure out how the gem section works?

I mean I get it for weapons and gear, but gems only have a buyout option, and there's only 1. If you do a search, the price constantly varies (by a lot too). Also crap-tier gems seem readily accessible, but the further you go up, the more likely you are (or at least I am) to get an error or request time out. Does that mean they're out of stock? Wouldn't it make a lot more sense to say "out of stock"? Where the hell does the price even come from if they're out of stock, and why can I "buyout" an item that's out of stock... >_<;

AH is just having serious lag. The interface for certain things, though, like crystals as you mentioned, it HORRIBLE, and not being able to cancel auctions is also HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE.

If you're like me and sell higher tier gems then you know that they sell in 1 second, the reason why you get an error is most likely because the gem you went to buyout was already purchased by someone else. this happens a lot when you spam the search function to find the cheapest gems.

which brings me to how much i hate the AH. i found a gem for 5k.. that normally go for 9k. so i went to buy it. it accepted but took 9k from me... Stupid. also i hate when you go to buyout something and fail. it takes your gold. sometimes it takes exiting the Ah/entering the game to have your refund show back up in the "Completed" section. its so laggy

currently level 33 and just started act 4 >.> since i play with a group we do story slow. which gives me more time play the diablo 3 auction house game -.- and grind some gold.

The AH does have some serious flaws, that with above mentioned, I had a few others. When you try to post, it says it fails 2x in a row then it randomly shows up in the selling category. Same with buying, says it fails but it ends up taking your money and you get the item sometime in the long future =\.

yes that happens with me. fail putting up a helm 5x exited game and came back 30 mins later and i was able to put it up. though it said timed out... it still went up for sale. anyone have abyssal colored gear? I've been rocking white for awhile now since its the best color and its cheap.

but i want to go abyssal, just hope its black enough, tried some other colors and was disappointed. like cardinal... looked pink.

Also unless I'm missing something i hate how legendary items are still worse than some rare. like i just bought a great 77.4 dps bow that was legendary for 25k. 5 hours later saw a 87.2 dps rare bow on the ah... same level... and both had sockets that had no stones in them. like wth.

actually the rare was 87.8 -.- and i also hate when i sort by dps and it doesn't always correctly sort. and recently items that have been sold still show up on AH..

yeah DPS sorting is completely broken.. it's like it sorts them primarily for DPS but there's a secondary filter for buyout that creates subsets of sorted items, each set being sorted but the entire list isn't sorted at all x_X

it needs SO much work. I can't even imagine them implementing the RMT AH until they fix all the problems with the gold one, and there are tons. like ability to sort by time remaining and bid price don't even exist yet

Started a wizard today and omg disintegrate is so fun. went from 1 to 30 and finished act 3 in one sitting.

I just hope expansions don't take another 6 years.

Made a demon hunter as my umpteenth alt. I friggin love it for at least having a good fun factor. However, looking at the endgame builds I want to do has me wondering about a healing skill. shadow power seems nice but in hell and inferno where you can get 1-2 shot easy a "leech" skill seems ineffective.
I don't particularly see a use for the discipline skills aside from Possibly setting the primary elective as elusive shot so the "reset your discipline and also get 60% hp" doesn't seem like a reasonable active heal.

What are your thoughts? Am i stuck just stacking regen and sucking down potions or do i bite the bullet and "waste" an active slot for a lackluster heal skill?

It may just have been coincidence for me, but when I sorta by DPS it seems to take the additional stats into account.

So an AH query may sort it like:

27 DPS ax +43 str
29 DPS ax
27 DPS ax

Which would technically be correct, but confusing at first glance... or it all could have been a coincidence on my last few AH queries.

When sorting by DPS, ruby gems are accounted for (although they DON'T show up on the actual DPS calculation until you are in game).

Yup, and when you have to look at item by item to find the one with the best stats, I can guarantee you that it already sold =\.

Anyone know if there is a delivery box option like in FFXI? It's just frustrating to get a monk item that my roommate can use and we will be on different acts in the game soloing. So if I'm at the end of Act 1.5, when I join his game to trade him a good item, when I go back to my original quest I have to start 1.5 from the very beginning. Delivery would be so much easier.

Glad to hear others are having the same problems with the AH. The gem buyout is ridiculously frustrating and the DPS calculation on weapons with empty sockets and ruby filled sockets is real tedious to sort through manually. Since these seem to be widespread problems, I have some faith it will be fixed.

Question though for AH armor. Does anyone know if there is a way to show the increase (or decrease) of the HP, damage, and protection stats from an item you're looking at on the AH to the item in your character slot? The damage calculations for a wizard wand are starting to get way out there with damage+, INT+, attack speed+, DPS, and sockets. So far I can only buy the wand and compare them to my equipped in game. Hope I'm just missing a button on the AH to compare and they didn't just leave this feature out all together.

There's also an issue with selling gems that I've had a huge problem with. Apparently if you cancel a gem offer after posting it, any future postings of that gem will simply not show up on the actual market (they will show in your auction tab however).

Also I've been losing gold. anyone else? i mean i have some fail bids on items... doesn't show my gold is gone. then i go to bid on something else and all of a sudden i have 2k less gold. and it doesn't get refunded, lost 5k just today =/ i really hate this AH.

The DPS on the AH is calculated with min-max damage, damage+, and attack speed+ (and ruby if in socket because it counts as more damage+)

What it doesn't count (I THINK) is your jobs primary damage adjustment stat. Wizard for instance INT, if the wand has +50 int, it *shouldn't* alter the DPS of the wand, so you'd be looking at the base DPS of the want prior to the stat modification, which, if it's +50 int, would be +50% more DPS from my understanding. Keeping that in mind you should be able to more accurately compare equipment to equipment you have without having to buy it. Also you can use 1 of the 3 search fields to add INT as a sort filter (say all wands with at least 30 INT)

Edit: though that's not quite right; +50 INT would be +50% more of your total DPS, not just the base DPS of the weapon

Damage bonus from ruby gems is NOT added into the shown DPS number on items listed on the AH. HOWEVER, it IS added into the shown DPS number while you are in a game, and it does effect the placement of the item if you sort by DPS on the AH.

Damage bonus from stats (str/dex/int) is never added to the shown DPS.
