So, as someone who quit after about a week into Adoulin, is it even worth it for me to come back to the game now? I ask in the blue mage forum instead of the general forum because BLU has been and always will be what made this game fun for me. If I came back now, is the job still a valuable asset to a team and fun to play? Would working my way through Delve and Eminence and the other kajillion things on the way be worth it?
Edited just to show how far behind I am
ItemSet 319158You are pretty much where I was when I first started back in November. I was fortunate enough to find a LS that was farming
Delve, and I had bard so I was basically able to leach along for the first several runs just tossing up bard buffs until I was able to get some SoA gear/weapons for my DD jobs. You will need ilvl weapons first and foremost in SoA, otherwise your accuracy and damage will be terrible.
Eminence is probably the best way to start off. You can farm
sparks anywhere and get very good gear from those rewards. I would prioritize that. I would also join any
Wildskeeper Reive shout that you see. Even if you spend most of the time dead, you can get credit for those wins.
Reja Ygridhi will reward you for beating certain WKR bosses for the first time (after you do a
quest for her) and offer you a reward of your choice (check my link to her for the list of rewards). Also, once you've beaten all 6 WKR's (with the eminence quest activated for each), Eminent Flame will offer you a choice of different WKR rewards. This is probably the easiest way I can think of for you to get Eminent Scimitar and Xiutleato.
In order to get the bayld to get in to WKRs, you will want to run
Skirmish and/or do
Frontline Support missions for the Courier's Guild. The easiest way to farm quick bayld is to make a Tier 1/1/1 Yorcia Simulcrum, enter, find the Noetic Ascension, and choose the Bayld reward. This will give you 5500 bayld and you can immediately exit and re-do this as many times as you want (as long as you have the money to keep buying the simulcrum segments).
I hope that helps.
