That's just stupidity, not a superstition.

I fail to see how it differs from holding a four leaf mandy bud.

Both acts of stupidity stem from interpreting the in game text poorly and then believing it despite zero evidence.

Because that's not the definition of superstition? And there is evidence to show TP does nothing for BLU spells except under the effects of Chain Affinity.

If you want to be pedantic about the definition, it is impossible for a computer game to invoke superstition on account of there being no supernatural force attributed to it.

As such you could retitle the thread "Illogical beliefs in FFXI" which is what I took it as anyway.

I'll go away now /sigh

Superstitions get you MPK'd

Paid a guy 500k to help me get Loki off Turul. I came THF for TH and he told me to disengage after TH7 and I thought he was kidding so I kept running in and SATAing it during the fight and this ensued. We went 1/3 btw.
Your first problem was that you listened to allstar lol. He is literally wrong about 99.9% of things haha. Tried telling me today that 7.8k for O. Bronzepiece was too high and I should sell 7.5 >.> and 30 seconds later, mine sold out haha.

Hope that was sarcasm haha. Or i can try to verify my experiance. When I used to have a gimp thf, I had friends with the 3 TH pieces and they would hit the monster (without TH proc) and i would hit the monster and magically it would TH7.

Red !! increases chance of Empyrean weapon ingredients.
Also, lacking a single piece of gear that an elite player has makes you gimp.

For Voidwatch...

Trade 3 Rubicund in third slot. 2 Cobalt in 4th.
Don't hit every single stagger that you're able to.
Approach chest from behind.
Be in chest when you open it.
Can't be the first to open it. Have to be 2nd through 5th.
Threaten that you'll quit the game if it doesn't drop.
Booyah. Or repeat...

I was given the title "WHM of death" by my IRL friends, many times they'd be soloing out in the field fine all by themselves. I see them while running by and toss them a Pro/Shell etc and keep going before I can get out of the zone they've died >.<

Have a taru sit inside the chest before opening it for hax drops. Also tarutaru sacrifice = better drops.

Never say "Good luck!" to somebody before the NM dies or chest is popped, they won't get their drops.

Straight melee killing an NM with the belief that weaponskills/magic/JA have a detrimental effect on drop rates.

Adventuring Fellows (NPCs) affect (gimp) drop rates. Not that I got most of the NM drops/Geodes when my Adventuring Fellow dealt the finishing blow.

I remember when Adventuring Fellows used to be a scapegoat when you got aggroed, or overwhelmed.

If you cast lots/random exactly 2 seconds after the minute of the in-game clock changes you always lot/random 800+ because the game is constantly rolling and at that time is when it goes from 800 to 999.
If it doesn't work for you is because you hit the button a millisecond later, you need more practice

There does not need to be a 'supernatural force' attributed to anything to invoke superstition, it is possible that there are aspects of the game still undiscovered unless they have been confirmed by the developers, however unlikely they may be and some people believe they might discover them through unorthodox measures.

I suggest you look up the word superstition again.
