So I was wondering if any of you have any superstitions when you play FFXI? Superstitions such as a specific routine of actions, carrying specific items around for good luck, or the most well known superstition regarding moon phases?
I always carried a 4 leaf mandragora bud in my inventory, I'm not sure why really, I'm not sure if I even believed it made any sort of difference to anything, but I carried it around anyway so I guess I had a superstition that it might help in a way nobody had discovered before :o

    Paid a guy 500k to help me get Loki off Turul. I came THF for TH and he told me to disengage after TH7 and I thought he was kidding so I kept running in and SATAing it during the fight and this ensued. We went 1/3 btw.

I kept a Lucky Egg and 4-Leaf Mandy bud in storage for years and years. I even put off the Opo Opo Crown quest just so I could keep them there. >.>;;
Then there were all those Sky gods, where the whole alliance would turn around wait on the THF to kill off the last 1%.

Yep.. As long as I'm not there when friends/ls members are fighting an NM it will drop it's main drop.. I'm like TH -100.
Oh and a friend is always like "nokclubformeifitdrops' when fighting NMs.. Long story short me and him and a few others have spent countless seals trying to get a K Club and we never do. So if the NM doesn't drop what it's supposed to he'll get his K Club, which is an impossibility, so the NM MUST drop the drop we're after. Being nekie would make sneak invis last longer.

One of my favorites was "THF has to get the killing blow for Treasure Hunter to work". I think a sky LS broke a few years ago because they didn't let the THF kill Mother Globe and the katana didn't drop >.>

Wearing less armor lessened true sight/sound detection.
Equipping elemental staves for crafting. Same element for success, dominating element for HQ%. Tungi given double attack+ or whatever.

Going on an even (or odd, idr) time on the in-game clock to get into Kirin room.

Biggest one for me is moon phase. HEY GUYS DO ROYAL JELLY ON FULL MOON, YOU'LL GET DOUBLE NI DROPS
I still face a certain direction on synths btw. Can't hurt!
