  • The Elemental MP Cost merit point enhancement will reduce MP cost by three points per level instead of one.

Interesting the max prep cost of elementals is 20 if I recall so this would make it only 5/tic if going 5/5 neat.

Now I know why everyone hates the DEV team... The elementals still can't even cast over IV spells. I can see the next one coming...

Woot can now use lightspirit to be a super healer!

If a party/alliance member is on low HP and lightspirit is facing that person, it might just toss a cure V/curaga IV, (or it might decide to recast haste on him/her again.)

All for no MP cost!!!

i never have my elementals out for more than the few seconds it takes for my syphon macro to work, so i dont see the point of this.

Light spirit will buff the person who you are targeting faster than everyone else!

We used to have a slow gathering limbus group. Our smn would jokingly buff half the ls with light spirit before we were ready to enter.

I really hope SE fixes the issue where tarus appear to have no visible knees while running. This is the kind of thing that brings an unenjoyable and frustrating imbalance to the game that needs to be addressed sooner than later.

Greetings.

I would like to share a bit of information about our process for all adjustments, not just adjustments for summoner. Regarding the information we reveal about proposed changes and changes to the test server, we are only revealing specs that have become possible to implement, in the order that they have become possible. This means that the changes we announce are not the only changes that we have in mind. Please keep in mind that it is very possible that we are looking into changes that we are not yet at a point where we can announce them.

There are many adjustments that we must look into patiently and there are many adjustments that need a long time to implement. As a result, there may be times where we are not able to reveal everything that is taking place, but this does not mean that nothing is being worked on. We are constantly evaluating new adjustments.

Lol there's so much negative response to the SMN update on the forums, they had to try and say something to calm the ****storm. And lol at the people argueing that elemental perp cost merits are useful... that's like trying to argue that carbuncle is the best avatar to use, fulltime.

I find it amazing that given equipment set ups, you can get away with having an elemental spirit out with perp cost down to a minimum and even with 1-2 /tick refresh.

I know this has made one elemental spirit fetishist in the official forums have an orgasm, much to the the annoyance of others...

Regarding “reduced elemental MP cost,” we decided to implement this given that we’re planning on adjusting elementals in the future, as we mentioned previously.

At first, we were considering changing “reduced elemental MP cost” to a totally different effect, “reduced summoning casting time,” so the possibility exists that we change it to this.

However, please note that we wouldn’t use “reduced elemental MP cost” if we switch to “reduced summoning casting time” and that we will need some time to implement this change.

Please let us know your feedback on this.

Personnaly, id rather have "Reduce SMN Casting Time" because my elemental's (thus far) are only up for siphon/emergencies for just seconds. Until I know what the adjustments will be to elemental's, I'd go with casting time.
