I can't help but laugh at the people that are complaing that neo-nyzul doesnt drop more alex. I am currently also stuck on alex but the reasons why:

1) Lack of salvage .. This is totally my own fault and i take blame for it.
2) More people are working on mythics cause all the other stuff is easier with the higher levels... nothing you can do bout this.
3) Less people doing salvage.. it happens.. better gears = less demand for salvage.

So what does all this mean..

1) Salvage Daily
2) Neo-nyzul 7 times a week
3) Pay higher prices

I accept all this so in all honesty they have already made your mythic ALOT easier then the original mythic owners. if you can't get the 30,000 alex.. it is your own fault.

So i dont care where they add the alex in neo-nyzul i will just do neo-nyzul to farm any alex i can get.... if i get 1 or if i get 50.. its still better then 0.

Dont tell me they've made it easier.

I had my Captain rank,my 8 titles, about 30/50 of the 2nd run through on assaults,my 100k einherjar eyepatch,my 150k nyzul tokens and all 3 of my trophies from the 75 cap.If anything my PERSONAL mythic has gotten harder by lack of salvage on the server (other than my daily own runs) and the 300% price increase.

Blanket generalizations go

Nothing against the 3rd party tools but an event is fundamentally busted if you need to cheat to beat it.

To be fair, the price might've skyrocketed, but so have the amount of gil ingame.
Back at 75 cap most new gil came into the game from fishbotters, so the amount of gil staying in the game didnt vary much.
Now, people have been spamming cruor -> gil and the game have _TONS_ of gil more than it used to, so in theory, currency is dirt cheap now, and alex barely went up in price.
If we go by how much gil is worth these days, vs a few years ago <_>

Greetings!

I’d like to share a message from Director Mizuki Ito in regards to upcoming changes to Nyzul Isle Uncharted Region.

Mizuki Ito said:
Hello. Director Mizuki Ito here.

Thanks so much for your feedback!
Based on feedback we received from actual play, we are planning to make the below changes.

  • Lower token cost of temporary items
    This was already conveyed previously.

  • Implementation of a “stopper” feature
After entering, we will be changing the system so that you will be able to set which floor you would like to aim for: 20/40/60/80/100.
While we will be removing the feature where you can go past your destination floor, once you reach the destination floor and fight the notorious monster you will no longer be able to progress to the next floor.

  • Key item/equipment exchange system
This is the system that I mentioned previously where if you clear a boss floor a certain amount of times, you will be able to obtain an item of your choice from that same boss.
Meaning that if you defeat the notorious monster on floor 20 above a certain number of times, you will be eligible to receive one of the possible rewards for floor 20.

We are also currently looking into the direction of obtaining the stronger equipment through this method. For example, if you are able to defeat the notorious monster on floor 20 above a certain amount of times, you will be able to receive one of the possible rewards for floor 40.

In this case, the merits of aiming for floor 100 would become weak, so in the event that you defeat a notorious monster on floor 100, we are planning to make it possible to obtain one item from that floor by clearing it just one time.

The stopping feature is interesting, both good and bad.

You can risk overshooting boss floors while having the opportunity of having multiple boss floors, or you can guarantee your chance at that floor if you reach it but you can't progress any further.

"stopper" feature is a result of people going over F100 and getting pissed, and they simply made it universal to all other boss floors to make sense for their lack of design.

Set it to floor 100 every time and if your run isn't going so well you can choose to change your floorup strategy to aim for 80 to gain credit towards a f100 item. These changes sound great to me.

Yea they sound great to me, I just want to know how long this will take.

Hopefully not the next update at the end of march.

I honestly would rather them not rush this very much and do it correctly this time. They made the mistake already by releasing this on the main servers but I still would like to see it done correctly and not go through 3 updates to fix something that should of been working the first time.

Is there any way the 30 minute cooldown can be removed from Nyzul-U? Not necessarily right away, maybe perhaps something to consider for future development?

I understand that SE wants to balance the game out, but honestly me and my group really do enjoy Nyzul. We have a lot of fun regardless if the run goes great or turns sour. That cooldown really is such a buzzkill for us. After a half hour, we kinda lose the passion for it and do other stuff. I think that the only thing the cooldown accomplishes is encumbers the player. And based on how random and erratic Nyzul-U is, it's not even like all that great gear could even be obtained quickly. Even if that's one of the devs' concerns, c'mon, you can spam anything from VW all day if you want, or spend the rest of your life in abyssea with TEs.

Also from my observations, at least on my server of course, I haven't really seen a lot of groups even attempt it. Here and there we'll see a group go in, but it's never really competitive. So concerns about multiple groups trying to enter and overflow the instance limit is kinda moot.

Hello!

I have a couple of things to inform you all about in regards to Nyzul Isle Uncharted Region.

First, in regards to the reward system changes, I have some updates. There was a discussion about the new system in regards to the number of times you must defeat a boss and the following two ideas came up:

  • Differentiate the number of times based on floor: 20/40/60/80

  • Don’t differentiate the number of times based on floor: 20/40/60/80

The conclusion was the latter – not to differentiate by floor. On this basis, everyone felt that defeating a boss 25 times would be an appropriate number.

With this said, here is a compilation of what will be done:

  • Reduction of the cost of temporary items (Will be implemented during tomorrow's test server update)
    Token costs will be halved.

    Category Pre-change Post-change
    Low cost 100 50
    Mid cost 200 100
    High cost 300 150

  • Implementation of a "stopper" feature (Won't be added during tomorrow's test server update)
After entering, it will be possible to set which floor you would like to aim for: 20/40/60/80/100.
While you'll no longer be able to go past your destination floor, once you reach the destination floor and defeat the notorious monster there, you will be unable to progress to the next floor.

  • Key item/equipment exchange system (This version recently discussed above won't be implemented during tomorrow’s test server; however, the system we mentioned the other day will be implemented temporarily)
In the event that you are able to defeat a specific boss floor 25 times (or more), instead of receiving one of the possible items from that corresponding boss, you will be able to receive a more powerful version of that item.

For example, if you were to defeat the floor 20 notorious monster 25 times, you would be able to receive one of the floor 40 items. However, for floor 100 you will be able to select one of the floor 100 items by defeating the notorious monster found there.

It seems floor 80 gear is still the best we're going to be able to reliably farm.

So,they're giving us the NQ/+1/+2/+3 gear easily, but not the HQ gear, which is the harest to get anyways, and will in no way be affected by these updates?

I read that as the stopper/kill X floor boss Y amount of times works foa ll gear EXCEPT 100? At least that how I read it anyways

So..... if i beat floor 80 25 times I will be able to choose the floor 100 gear I want?

and if I beat floor 100, I'll get a random piece of 100 gear?

Is that about right?

Ah, wait.

For floor 100 I thought they said that if you kill a NM you can pick anything you want for floor 100 gear, instead of 25 it's just 1 time.

From previous update notes:

So floor 80x25 = each character who achieved it can pick a 100 gear, and floor 100 x 1 = the same thing?

That sounds much better!
