I think it'd be possible, but with a healer. His vorpal blades would still hurt. Can't 3rd eye with a sword :(

It just hit me that on BLU, triple attack can't proc on requiescat, right? 5 hit + offhand = 6, making it only possible for one DA proc, or am I mistaken? That wuold infact make eponas and brutal pretty meh. (I understand Proth already said other things wuold be better but I was looking for some inventory save here!)

A single TA adds 2 hits, not 3. Even if you could theoretically Quadruple Attack (Adding 3 hits), it would just add 2 and not prevent QA from procing.

A single TA however, prevents you getting any benefit from additional DAs/TAs, though, so you don't get the "full benefit" of Epona's Ring.

I didn't even think of that annoying jailer, wonder if a sam could walk up with meds 2 hour and solo him lol

I just did it for a friend yesterday on blu/nin and i got dissapointed <.<, granted that my req set isnt the best but i don't think that improvements you could do to it would make a huge difference.

5/5 Merits

I was doing 800-1200 all the time, around a 3-5% of jailer's hp every ws, Sanguine blade did 898 the only time i used it so not a huge difference between the two on the jailer.

So i don't think that you could solo it on sam with just the 2h, it will take a lot more of Ws's, plus his vorpals still can hurt, usually he does 300ish since he misses a lot even in full haste gear but he caught me once w/o shadows and landed all hits and droped me from full to red D;

Just curious, has there been any more recent testing on Req's ATK penalty? I wasn't actively looking for it, but I never saw any testing on the ATK penalty after they made some adjustments to crap like Shun and Reso.

Requiescat's attack penalty was never changed. I've been testing the 200 and 300TP penalties, 300 is somewhere between 0~5%. 200 I'm not sure yet, but in the neighborhood of 10% or so is likely.

It's almost as if you didn't read his post at all. Morrigan's Slops and Magavan Beret are both good upgrades.

I was addressing the leg slot. Also Yes those are fantastic upgrades (maybe not magavan depending on if you can shell the gil out to buy one or you manage to accumulate all of the legion points).

Because it's bad for your total damage as a whole. BLU isn't a super high attack job, and RDM is even worse off.

Yeah, usually when I don't have red curry up my attack is a little over 500 which isn't high at all

Wondering about the math behind Thaumas Kecks vs a MND leg.

Kecks (I have these now)
9STR 2.25 fSTR
Attack +14 (18.5 total)
Accuracy +14 (Not an issue inside NNI)

Set Bonus (Once I get Feet)
2MND 1.7
2STR 0.5 fSTR

Spolia / Optima
8MND 6.8 WSC
9MND 7.65 WSC

Morrigan
10MND 8.5 WSC
3STR 0.75 fSTR

Similar question about hands
Mavi +2
10 MND

Athos's
7 STR 1.75 fSTR
7 MND 5.95 WSC

I know on earth / dark days the Athos's would be best. Would they also be best for full timing? How much VIT do most mobs, NM's in particular have inside NNI?

For general info I have Thaumas Coat / Hands / Kecks and +3 Feet. My next upgrade selection will be the feet for a 4/5 Tp set with Twilight and Mavi +2 head.

Current TP Set

No food / Buffs I have 598 Attack. Typically use Bison Steak for another +90, puts me at 691 attack. 850+ after Zerk.

Absolutely nothing compared to what I get on DRK/WAR with Chaos and Min x 3, but should be more then enough for NNI mobs and most NMs.

Question real quick.

What is the syntax in spellcast to get it to check to see if it's a certain day? With spellcast's info on windower being gone (dead links) I have no idea what internal variables / tables it maintains nor how to query them.

Something like,
<if day = "Darksday|EarthDay">
<equip hands="Athos's glvoes"/>
</if>

Not 100% sure, but I think it should be something like this
<if spell="Requiescat">
<if advanced="%DayElement"="Dark|Earth">
<equip when="precast"><hands lock="yes">Athos's Gloves</hands></equip>
</if>
</if>

It bugged me when I tried to find all that info too. I did find this, though, which will probably help a lot of people out. It also has the info for plugins like autoexec.

http://wiki.windower.net/display/Windower/SpellCast

Quick look, I think both of those suggested versions would work to lock the gloves.

Thanks both of you. Was able to fix it to work right.
Code
<elseif Spell="Requiescat">
	<if DayElement="Earth|Dark">
		<equip when="precast"><hands lock="yes">Athos's Gloves</hands></equip>
	</if>
		<equip when="precast" set="Requiescat"/>
/elseif>
