Bumping this thread for a good reason!

For my english exam the topic will be english accents and dialects from both UK and USA. I'm having a lot of fun studying this and also helping myself with many youtube videos.
So, if you have any tip or fun anecdote about your dialect/accent that you would like to give me, I'd really appreciate it~

Welsh is kinda... not liked in the UK, but liked outside of the UK.

It's got a kind of musical lilt to it (Seeing as the welsh are the original bards I guess that makes sense).

A lot of Welsh people sound dumb too, in terms of accent.

Welsh is a bit of a messy language too, lots of spitting sounds.

I live right in Central Ohio, just a couple miles outside of Columbus. For the most part, people here have a fairly neutral accent. However, we get people from the hills or the West Side of Columbus who use "warsh" and seriously sound like they're from the south. WTF? We're in the center of the country people...Then people from northern Ohio totally have a nasally accent. Especially from Cleveland/Toledo. Yargh >.<
