On topic: I probably shouldn't knock FFXI dating too much since that's how I met Nini, but it does have quite a few drawbacks.. not to mention on any MMO the ratio of guys:girls is absurdly high. It's pretty irritating to see the amount of people that hit on her, both ingame and on forums like this, especially with the amount of trust involved in a long distance relationship. I know people who've gotten into serious relationships with people faking their gender as well, can't imagine that's very fun for them. I think it's better to look at it as lucky if something happens through here than to try to get it to happen.. real dating sites and good clubs have much better male:female ratios, which not only increases your chances but gives you much more choice.
If you don't have balls, you aren't getting anyone either way.. you're just going to get yourself used by a bunch of manthra. It might be easier to get female attention if you're just typing, but you still need confidence to keep it and pretending to be something you aren't is just setting yourself up to get *** over when you try to make it real.
