i actually haven't been interested in a relationship until i started college and had girls in the same school as me

I know some people who use it to just sleep with girls. Apparently it works pretty well if you're not looking for decent looking girls :/

ok, Ive been seeing a few bits here and there and I'd like to clarify some things (based on my own experience)...

1). Women do not like guys who are way too nice. It shows that either the guy is trying too hard, is way too sensitive, or is a complete pussy.

2). Be yourself

3). The only people who use dating sites are crazy.

4). Want a good woman? Look for her in a library or in church. Want a crazy ***? Look in a library or in a church.

5). Sports girls are DTF.

6). Women with kids look for men to be father figures FIRST, then husbands/boyfriends.

7). Avoid dating a woman who has kids.

My friend's bf-at-the-time used that site to find someone to cheat on her behind her back, LOL. So, I would say those sites are effective...just can't guarantee the quality of person you will get there. :p

But yes, for sure you can pre-select their basic qualities (like location.) :p Just not ever sure you'll get a Cragslist-killer--any more than you would meeting some random person on the street or acquaintence-of-a-friend I suppose. ^^

It's confusing sometimes. What they usually mean by that(usually) is to treat a girl like you would your normal friends or anybody.

but heres the next problem. If youre too nice to a girl, she wont take you serious. If youre a *** to her, she wouldnt want anything to do with you. Women are so confusing.

We are all beautiful in our own ways and if anyone ever puts you down for attempting to start a conversation with them, they are a fool and probably have serious issues anyway. If there is something you don't like about yourself, find a way to fix it or get over it. No one is perfect. People who appear to be perfect are in most cases fake as all hell. They are so focussed on their looks, their money, and their own life, that they are probably not ever going to be happy with anyone.
I spent 3 years online dating, and it was the most miserable 3 years of my life. I kept meeting women who were so afraid of confrontation and rejection that they didn't talk. Mix in my own bits of insecurity and it led to lots and lots of boring dates and only a handful of second dates.
We weren't meant to find love online. Most of the people on there are really not ready for love. They want it because its the norm, but spend so much time online that they don't know how to interact with people in real life. I understand there are exceptions, but usually those exceptions are social people who just use the internet as a tool and not as their life.
First tip to building confidence. Find something outside of FFXI that you love to do that will involve other real life people. Running, kite boarding, biking, disc golf, hula dancing, whatever. Even if you don't meet someone to love doing those things, the interaction with people will help build your confidence in approaching people and help build you up for that next opportunity to flirt with Mr. Right.
