Not getting into a relationship with a friend (this is assuming there's chemistry and you both want to and w/e) is silly. The whole 'ruining friendship' thing is kinda ***. If you're real friends, even if you break up you don't lose the friendship... and getting into a serious relationship (assuming you want one) with someone who isn't a friend is pretty much setting yourself up for trouble unless a miracle happens and they turn out to be like your best friend.

I was in pain and thought that cutting it would have made me forget her. But it appears it didn't happen...we both said many stupid things to each other and everything was left like that, with lots of things unsaid and without telling each other how we really felt...Idk, maybe this is the reason, when you don't cut something the proper way you feel as if it was still there...if that makes sense.

Have you guys tried seen/talked at all lately?(maybe a dumb question) But maybe you both made the mistake of not telling eachother how you felt.

Yes all of the boyfriends whom I'd genuinely consider my friend are still my friends. Some of them are closer than others though--one moved to England and I haven't talked to him all that much since.

@Seha: Yeah just talk to her. D: You'll feel a lot better even if it doesn't go anywhere.

sounds like there's more to it than just a proper burial, so to speak, if even such a thing was ever necessary

it's your own call as far as to if a confrontation on the matter is in order or not, but me being me these days, i've learned from my mistake a while ago and now finish what i (or in this case, she) started

right as i finish off that sentence, i picture premature ejaculation, thanks to how i worded it

You'd be surprised. Just do it, if she thinks you're being obnoxious then go away, but I doubt that'll be the case. Just start with an apology.

I would at least casually connect with her and try to gauge her feelings if it was me, but what do you think you'll do?

Your biggest enemy is yourself. So many romantic encounters etc that could've been fail because one party doesn't want to look bad, or make things awkward, or is afraid of failure etc. Step above it - you have everything to gain and little to lose.
