Romantically Frustrated?

I honestly would like to move to Vegas man, lol. I went there 2 weeks ago and had a blast. The clubs are insane, it shouldn't be too hard to meet someone up there. I wasn't looking to hook up or anything but from what I saw it was pretty easy. In fact, much of the time girls would approach my friends and I there :P
Buy a clean outfit, get groomed up, and go hit up a club and meet some people!


As far as this situation goes, I haven't read all of your post but if the situation stands like this: Your trying to find a girl to take out to a new city for a concert of sorts? I'm not sure if you were planing on spending a night over there either~ but what I can tell you is this:

This situation (going to another city to see an event, and maybe spend the night), is terms for a third or fourth date with a girl. The girl must know you well enough to trust you to take her out that far of a distance without having the fear of you trying to harm her. Such is the case that no girl you meet (unless she likes to take risks--which is rare) will accept your invitation. Just to throw a little more perspective into the case, on first dates, it's typically nice to offer to meet the girl at the selected area you guys will spend time in. Much of the time girls decline dates solely for the fact that they don't trust the guy to take them somewhere without having the fear of getting harmed (aka raped). And so, initially, they don't mind you offering to meet up at the location. Which is why I said, your "situation" is a case of a third or even fourth date, when you two already know and are familiar/comfortable around each other.

I'm aware of the perspective on it, hence my difficulty.
Unfortunately it's a double edged sword. Finding women here is self-defeating due to the nature of not only the city itself, but the available mediums of meeting them. Odds of me finding someone and getting to know them long enough before confirming tickets and airfare etc is simply improbable.

It would seem that I have to simply take a gamble and hope someone is willing to simply go for it and enjoy an experience with me in another city. Yeah it's risky in nature, no, we don't know each other, but I'm willing to put the things on paper out of mind and simply enjoy myself with anyone who is willing to do the same.

I really don't think girls are as afraid of being raped as you say O.o

(Referencing the Bolded part) As in, those you meet are often from other cities and you can rarely get to know them before they must move back home? I'm not to sure what you meant here...


But yeah, I guess if you look at it in terms of a "gamble," then if you find someone who is willing to go for it, that would be cool? Although in that case, naturally I would be concerned for my own safety... lol. I mean, people who are willing to take risks like that aren't usually "good" by nature, per say.

It's a really difficult situation finding a date on the fly and in such short notice when it involves taking them to another city and partaking in such a big event. It sounds and looks really bad on paper, but I'll do my best to put it into perspective that one can appreciate and hopefully find reassuring.

Simply: It's a once in a lifetime kind of thing. It's in Chicago. I'm willing to pay for most, if not all expenses, and my only objective is to share and enjoy the experience with someone in nice form of companionship for 1-2 evenings.

Which is why I put it in parenthesis, much of the time they are afraid of being "harmed" in general, coming from the perspective of going on the "first date."

Ninja Edit: Think of it this way, the girl is making herself vulnerable by allowing you to drive her an "x" amount of miles to another location. Who is to say the man she's with is 100% legit, considering the fact that it's the first date and she is more or less likely barely getting to know the guy.

In reference to my bolded, I am saying I don't have enough time to meet someone here in Vegas, date them, get to know them, then make arrangements and purchase tickets. I need to do that sooner than later, and I simply need someone who is willing to partake in it as they wish on my virtue.

Yeah, due to my nature of being a loner and not having many friends in general limits my options to FFXIAH people pretty much lol. But I don't mind, I feel part of the community and have a general idea for people's attitude and personalities which all fit together here in one (albeit dysfunctional) melting pot.
As far as facebook goes. I rarely use it, and my only friends are a few FFXI folks, RL friends and relatives.

I can't get around how it looks on paper as far as being suspicious, but my notions and perspective have already been posted above. Luckily you'll have through most of June to get to know me :P
