FFXI- Worlds First Mass Multileech Online RPG

I haven't abyssea burned a single job, and I know for a fact that because I haven't abyssea burned does not mean I'm better than someone who has. It is true however that most people don't know what the *** they're doing, but that's always been true - it's just more readily apparent now.

I cannot count how many times my exp PTs failed through the years because someone wasn't doing their job, and if they were a tank or healer, were flawed enough that someone couldn't pick up the slack. When I leveled WAR, there were tanks that couldn't keep hate (Which inevitably lead me to tank from 50-75, pre-AU), WHMs that couldn't heal (Which lead to our static RDM being a single healing a WAR tank a lot of the time. Kudos Zey.), RDMs that couldn't enfeeble, DDs that couldn't keep up, BLMs that couldn't MB. When I leveled WHM, there were times when we could tank, but the DDs just sucked so bad fights took forever. I'd offer friendly advice, and it'd most always be thrown back in my face.

People have always been this way. In fact, every one of you pointing a finger was probably gimp in this way at one point or another. I know I was. Hello THF49/NIN13; DRK42/WHM21. This was back when people didn't even use food to increase DDing. Just get off your high horses and have fun - seriously, holding grudges is probably why you aren't having a good time anymore.

75 to 90 is still burning Imo if you do it in abyssea. How hard do you really think this game is. At this point do people really need months to learn a job. Everything you need to know about a job you can read in forums. Only people that burning and sucking pertains 2 are fuktards. And if you are one of these people than it doesn't matter how long they learn a job 4 they still suck. I think a lot of people in the game that we say suck are more lazy than actually bad. It is about macros. If you set up all macros you need this game is stupid easy. There Are some of us like myself who solo'd alot of jobs and if the game was like it used 2 I would not know all the 6 man party tricks, but I am sure like everything its not hard to pick up and VERY repetitive. Like I said in a earlier post a lot of these burners are also veterans who were already good at their other jobs and some know more about jobs that they don't have. Leveled. Than some who had these jobs for years

I can understand the point in the fast xp system now. SE created abyssea for the veteran players to continue doing new end game content and for the new players to catch up quickly to participate in this content. I'm not a fan of seeing others leech and just the attitude of the players on my server in general when it comes to xp parties sucks. So back to soloing the book in Cape Terrigan or Ro'Maeve for me till I can easily solo in abyssea. I have 2 jobs at 90 and don't care about gaining exp quickly with a group and being gimp. When the time comes to go solo something or be useful in an event, you can't because you need to waste your time "skilling up" when you already could have been capped or near capped on skills from doing the grind. This is what most people don't understand. You're still spending relatively the same amount of time catching up on skills as you would if you just did a traditional exp party. People really don't get it.

i do agree, Abssea broke the game. yes, it can be fun, and the tediousness of advancing in this game is gone, but the game has become "Abyseea onry or gtfo" that, while as other content is still fun, no one really bothers to do it anymore, unless you can con some ppl into doing it.

that said, im rly enjoying miself in Rift :x

lol they make things harder ppl *** they make it easier ppl *** ><. i admit abys kinda took alot of the structure out of the game but it also opened a huge door. i feel it is a huge stepping stone for things to come. an this whole make abys 70+ bitching is lame i dont think most ppl relize that you could take a lv 30 pt to abys an grind the same way you could with a lv 90 pt the mobs repop whatever lv they were killed by.

I also just wanna say how can everyone think that they have a one up on ppl that lv the old way vs abys i mean they haveta work harder to get the xp there then most jobs do an they haveta pay for it most the time lol just leave it be if someone is sooooooo horrible they get you wiped in an ls event well id say that the finger needs to be pointed at more than that person lol the "scap goat" if they have decent gear an there skills are capped try offering advice rather than talking ***up cause your jealouse. i know i am i wont key *** but damn i wish i could lv a job in a week lol

I don't know about you guys but I would rather leech a job up then spend the time I saved gearing, skilling up, and learning how to play it better instead of spending that time in crappy exp parties. Though who can miss seeking for 2 hours to find a party only to have it disband 30 min later because they can't find a healer!

I found that FFXI was pretty dull up until I finished my first 2 level 75 jobs and started playing with EG content. I would constantly quit and take breaks up until I started doing sky events. Looking back I feel I would have enjoyed the game much more if I could have skipped the grind. Though thats only my opinion i'm sure there are some that enjoyed the exping more than the EG content.

srsly though you need to have a good amount of luck and ppl willing to exp outside of abyssea. If you get a group together somewhat static count yourself lucky.

Our LS has weekly regular, old fashioned levelling parties in all the pre- Abyssea areas. We offer positive advice where and when we can. We even go and get the af specific to our jobs (horror of horrors), skill weapons and all other skills. We help people finish Nation Rank Missions, CoP, ZM and ToAU, do weekly assaults and anything else that trips our trigger, including and up to Dominion Ops. Most of us refuse to leech Abyssea pre 75. The point is, we have fun and more and more of our LS are enjoying the community and friendship, the help and spirit of it all. :) Colibri ftw! Aydeewa Subteranne! Can I have it? Caedarva Mire? No Thanks! King Ranperre's Tomb is still the funnest place to go level. Mount Zayholm. Yes Please! Flans ftw! Bibiki Bay, fabulous! Gotta love those Gobs!

So, thanks SE for giving us better xp gains outside of Abyssea, the game is fun again.:)

Oh and by the way, the focus is on having fun, learning our jobs and getting people closer to finishing all those storylines they passed over in order to get their basic atma's............we ain't perfect but we all give it our best shot!

Leveling was never hard in the first place, idiots have always existed, Abyssea sped the whole thing up, blah blah. It's nice thinking "I wish I had job XYZ levelled, I know how to use wiki and forums and I'm not an idiot, thank god it won't take me months anymore!".

I hope they do make it a level 75 minimum....

Its jsut a little less likly do to the increased time your forced to do it. (and u only have 5 ppl to hide form instead of 17)

Eather way you can still be a screw up for a job. And either way, u can still be good at your job.

You can grind through regular parties and still not have a clue. It's just a little less likely due to the increased time your forced to do it(? the ***?). You only have 5 people to hide from instead of 17.

Its true abyssea was made to level out the playing field between newcomers and veterans, but as with everything in game, life ect, people take the easy way out of everything. unfortunately, as much as people who do it do not want to admit it, but if youve jus started ffxi or didnt have any kind of experience with anything high level oriented in ffxi before abyssea, and you leech it up cause its faster than the normal way, you honestly have no clue what you need to do, what/how you should gear your job with, What is what regarding any form of endgame. But hey, its just my opinion, not every player in ffxi is concerned with endgame content, some people just play for family/friends online with them, some people only really like leveling and doing missions and ***. Most people on my server do not know what the blue hell to do when they hit 90, and about 80% of those people in that catagory have keyleeched from lvl 30, with no experience whatsoever of anything ffxi related above lvl 30. the other bit were just hopeless to begin with, or they are like naturebeckles and have a *** up sense of how the game 'works'. For the Veteran player, keyleeching is also something quite enjoyable, catching up on those jobs you was always curious about that you never wanted to invest the time in leveling in the old way, the only major difference is, they know what the hell they were doing and was familiar with the game mechanics. Only my opinion, now i wait for the trolls.
