A good topic for discussion, will mew be able to be legitly obtained once the pokebank comes out? If the pokebank will filter all hacked pokemon then the only mews in existence are from events. The only outer source is the hexadecimal glitch in yellow where you fly away from a specific trainer battle to lavender town.
And that raises the question if hex glitch mews can make it through the pokebank filter, thoughts? yep, gba was gen2 and as far back as it goes seeing that u can put a gba game into the original DS and do the transfer safari thing in the 1st DS pokemon games.

Though you can still trade between gba and ds, gba also supports gb games, I play yellow on it all the time, maybe I am misreading what you are saying though Err you can trade between 2 gbas then insert the pack into ds, right? gen1 wasnt a gba game. gba could play gb games, yes, but the gb games were not compatible with trading to gba games.
edit: im just speaking from memory, so im sure im a little off, but im almost positive the GB gen's were lost. including chespins, timbur, ralts (for breeding gallades), meditite, helioptiles, hawlucha, eevees, wooper, meinfoo, pancham, growlithe and shroomish all perfect 5 ivs Might not have a team ready for the tourny but I've managed to breed a 5iv gastly, larvitar and charmander so far, gonna work on Snover and Skrelp next D:

On another note back to the mew thing If you hacked yourself an old sea map in emerald and then caugh mew would there be any way to detect that? Iirc a pokemons data is determined when its encountered and doesn't have any info on the flags needed to encounter it Trying to make this work dammit!
