i usually make chicken parm with pasta, a salad with homemade vinaigrette, and garlic bread. if you make your own garlic bread using aioli and REAL parmigiano reggiano(not that *** from a greencan) it comes out a thousand times better.

Oh my gracious, that sounds absolutely heavenly. Raspberries are my favorite berry, and chocolate is of course fabulous. I adore raspberries on french vanilla ice cream smothered in chocolate syrup. Adore! /swoon!
French vanilla ice cream with fresh blueberries. Top that!

Oh yeah, definitely doing everything from scratch. None of that overprocessed, frozen, Kraft ***. The kitchen and oven will be quite busy! Also for the pasta sauce, pinot grigio or chardonnay?

But blackberries are better than the both of them.

surprisingly the oven really isn't that busy. the garlic bread only takes like 10-15 mins tops which gives the chicken parm plenty of time to cool down a bit. unfortunately i'm not much of a wine drinker but i'd go with a pinot grigio. i think my dad told me chardonnay goes well with white wine dishes, roasted chicken, and fish.

I share this sentiment except when it comes to cheese.. I have to cut prices in some places.. I don't use enough cheese to justify actually buying blocks of cheese and shredding it myself (unless I only used one kind, which I don't) so I buy the bags of processed-pre shreadded ***..
But for the most part everything comes from basic ingredients... Flour, water, sugar, butter, milk, egg, corn meal, etc etc.. Unless I'm just in a hurry, even bread crumbs are baked in the oven, crushed by hand and the herbs and spices hand mixed in.
My meals take a long time to cook, but they're worth it. Ask my wife.

You know it's raspberries all the way Sevourn! yum yum!
Bacon is good Sin, but I don't like how it smells the next day. There's always a greasy-ish bacony smell in the air, just faintly, afterwards. Sometimes it's worth it though. It's bacon, after all!

Tonight I pulled out the grill for some BBQ chicken with 2 kinds of BBQ sauce,
garlic bread and some potato salad. Eating good for the first time in awhile lol.
Not that I don't love my Ramen noodles... but yeah, nice change.

Chocolate oranges are great, Ludoggy! You must have one! You take it from the box, leaving it wrapped, and slam it down onto a hard surface to break the core. Then unwrap it and nibble away piece by piece. There's chocolate kiwis, too, they are amazing. They make me crave chocolate key-lime pie, and I don't think that exists. ;; At least, I've never seen it anywhere. But I'm going to make some key lime pie on a chocolate crust and put chocolate shavings on it this summer anyways. You can't have key lime pie in the winter, so I must wait for summer!

Also, if any of you are NOT on any sort of diet, you all have to try the Manwich. Here's the recipe, try not to have a heart attack:

Wow that looks tasty.
I think my heart would stop though.
I love food, and love making food, so I thought it would be fun to make a thread about it! Post what you've been making lately, or eatting, or even some recipes!
Last night we had some Louisiana Gumbo with shrimp and andouille sausage, and for desert we made this amazing chocolate cake :D
Here's the recipe for the chocolate cake: http://www.oprah.com/food/Chocolate-and-Almond-Cake
I recommend using the Chocolate-butter icing with it too, it's delicious!
