It's not ingame. Hence why I used it and made it. >.> I can't see the color purple and the SE's version was just killing my eyes.

Didn't look good in certain lightning effects, which made it look like complete *** to me so I didn't use it. I made like, 3-4 copies trying to find a decent red that didn't look ugly as hell in the light.

The lighting on that one looks better kinda...


Although the metal edging kinda offsets it.

Yeah, it sticks out like a sore thumb and lacks textures.
Plus it kinda has a shiny, glowey vibe that doesn't really belong, especially in contrast to your other gear. So I suppose you made the best choice in what was available and tested.

The metallic silver is a horrible clash with the blood red. I think it's the matte finish more than anything else that kills it along with the almost flourescent shade of red.

Well yeah. That's why I didn't keep that one. :P Keep in mind I was *TRYING* to get that to match Homam. Since some homam pieces (Legs/feet) had some silver in it. I ended up not using homam as a base for matching though. (Also, that's Haubergeon vs. Adaberk. >.> so totally different things. It's just examples of different shades of red I tried that didn't work.)

^ Pic above sagi's that was my first "mod" I made I figured, hey. AV GK+PW GK might look cool together! I was able to do it but I didn't correct the hex codes of both the pieces I used, so it turned out like that. I just went around trying stuff I thought might look cool lol

I think the metallic silver looks nice with it. I think it's the rest that doesn't match lol But I think it's awesome.

The one in the MH looks a bit better. Though it could be the lighting idk.

Also, they all look like Adaberk to me, I swear Hauby's pauldrons look a lot different.

Edit: Just realize you probably meant Hauberk not Haubergeon and probably got the names mixed up. >.>; IGNORE ME!

Actually, I haven't played ffxi in so long I actually thought that was a haubergeon. But I checked and Haubergeons are ugly as ***so it's possible I swapped hauberk for it. rofl

I actually enjoy Haubergeon. The pauldrons look better with the curved/pointed shape to em rather than the kind of dull flatness on the Hauberk's. Though the pattern on the cloth is bleh.

I remembered COR coming out and I was like, I wanna be a badass pirate! But the only "good" guns for COR at the time were Coffinmaker and I think Martial gun? So I was like, I'll just dress up as one instead! LOL Damn, now I remember why xi was fun.

That's kinda why I resubbed... I wanted to at least get one AF3 set lol and look badass :p

I'm hoping the NMs for BST aren't a total *** and I can solo them easiliy.

lol yeah I spent like a day and a half just raising fame so I could flag the quest :p (i coulda done it in a day but I was being lazy rofl)


I had a friend who was going to help me with the NM (he needed it also) but then the whole hospital thing with my mom happened so I dunno if he will help now if he still needs it :(
