That's always convenient! I like it when you have a "jack of all trades" GC to cut the cost. We have one who does the slab as well as GCs.
As far as aesthetics, not my personal taste, but from a monetary level...Why the hell not? I'm not living there, and it's more cost effective if you have a building with multiple units. There are worse things that could come from client requests as far as cost effectiveness.
I agree but the cheap down dirty wire shelving I hate, we sell it and install it too. I prefer the open slide version.
And yes, more Trades you can Jack into, the better you are with GCs, from a Subs POV. We can F&I DFH, Wood Trim, Bath Access (no plumbing fixtures tho) Shower Doors, Shelving, Postal, most Div 10 specialties, and sometimes install only of Cabinetry. Typically tho, I HATE pricing Wood Shelving within units. Yah looks nice, but it is always at least 3 times more expensive than wire shelving. Might not mean much in SFH or small apartment buildings, but when you do the 300-500 unit projects, that number is huge and scares the piss outta them. Silly Archs, just make it all wire shelving =3
