Oh so last night my co worker and I decided to listen to lectures on biological psychology... The things I came away having learned.
-If 2 females are living together in nither of them having sex their periods will sycn apperently
-Naked mole rats have some members of their groups that do nothing but eat, then when the rain season comes it's their job to block the entrance holes and keep water out with their fat ***.
-With some species of monkey when a new alpha male takes over will kill the previous alphas kids so the females will start ovulating again. The pregnant females will at times fake ovulation so the male will mate with them and fool them into thinking it is thier kid. Even if they are late in the pregnancy.
-Fly sperm will attack and kill other fly's sperm to increase it's chances since females go through partners so quickly.
-Going back to the monkeys when an alpha decides it needs to punish or get rid of a weaker male that male will take one of the alpha's kids hostage. Sometimes they mess up and grab their own kids and it doesn't work out so their last action is to throw their kid clear.
There was more but can't remember them atm... Was actually crazy interesting.
