In XIV config I think? I know there is an option in there for it but I've never used it.

I had to set it up first to recognize my 360 controller. I still need to swap some buttons around. Final Fantasy XIV config, Gamepad option
I know it asks each time what way you play but it will not pick up my 360 controller :/
go into the config and set the controller up, you have to do that first iirc, at least I know I did that before I even started up playing again lol.
ffxivconfig.exe in the game folder? If that's it well :/ I get nothing but japanese when I open it..

That is odd, friend got it the same way and it worked just fine.
