The blackbirds are probably Grackles. I have about 8 of them that visit my birdfeeder (along with the 18 redwing blackbirds..)
They move from place to place. you'll see them for a few days if the eating is good then they'll move on.
Finch/Sparrow/Chickadee/Titmouse will hang around if it's safe and they have food in the area.
Mockingbirds I'm not sure of how they behave. I've only seen a couple around here and not very often.

Normally I'd see one or two a day maybe, right now there are at least 10 (mostly some kinda black bird, gonna go with crow) of them out there. I'm also seeing what I think are mocking birds ('average' sized brownish/grayish birds) and some type of finch (small, different body shape, sorta the same coloring scheme as the suspected mocking birds).
I don't have nearly enough plants out there to be drawing in any greater number of insects.. So wth. dead bodies

Okay, I'd have to say you're right about them being grackles.
They're mostly solid black, but if the light catches them just right they can kinda have this bluish tint to their feathers, which seems to be common. The body shape/size fits as well.
It's just strange that out of the middle of nowhere my backyard is filled with birds. Lots of individuals of a few different species. No one's been going out there tossing seed or anything, either.. We don't have bird feeders or anything.
Of course the only reason I really care is my garden, I just transplanted my corn outside yesterday, and I know there are quite a few birds who love to eat seedlings. Also there are a lot of insects that are good for a garden that birds like to munch on.

Okay, so my desire to burst into rage has subsided a bit. But I suppose I'll share and take opinions, though I'm sure I know what the popular answer is going to be.
A few months ago, I had a friend run into a bit of a problem. She hasn't had a job in a while, her child support had been "temporarily" suspended, and her parents were having issues of their own, so she couldn't get help from them. All things said and done, she borrowed a bit over $600 to help get caught up with her bills and some medical stuff she needed done.
About a week ago, she texted me, saying she still hadn't had luck finding a job and her child support still wasn't coming because her ex-husband had lost his job. Okay, no big deal.
Then comes last night, when I see that she's posted on her Facebook:
"So, around three weeks until I get back to (removed location) for the first time in a few years! Who's drinkin with me (especially since I'm buyin the rounds. Have to get the crew drunk, cause it's only polite.) ?"
After a bit of stewing but wanting to avoid direct confrontation, I leave her the passive-aggressive comment simply saying, "Have fun." Then comes today:
"At the spa gettin all pretty like! Pics to follow."
A trip that involves flying on a plane, and staying at a hotel... And now a trip to the spa. But she has no way of getting money and no way of paying me back what she owes me. Right.
So, if you were in this situation, what would you guys do? I can think of a few different ways to approach it but I'm generally too passive to say a lot.

How do you WANT to handle it? I mean I'm the same, generally speaking, I keep my mouth shut even when I have a problem.. I'm too damned passive for my own good.. However, get a half a bottle of whiskey in me, and I'll say or do just about anything that's on my mind.
So do you want to unleash on her? Do you want your money back? do you just want the entire thing over and done with?
(none of this is based on end result, only what you want to do) If you want to tell her how you feel, go get some Jack and start drinking, and the rest will come naturally. If you want your money back, just grit your teeth and tell her flat out what you've pointed out here. If she's got money to get the crew drunk or go to the spa, she's got money to pay you what you're owed. (this is the one where the 'disclaimer' comes in, there's no guarantee it will get your money back, but if that's what you want, then it's still the path you should take) If you just want it all done with, don't drink or do or say anything, remove her from facebook and any other thing that might lead to you having to have any kind of contact with her or even seeing what she's doing, and do your best to just ignore the feeling of rage boiling over.
Also, this is why I don't loan money or my property, to anyone. I've learned through experience people are going to let me down or *** me over. I'd rather them be pissed at me for not loaning them ***, then them be happy, but me pissed at them because they *** me over.
2nd also: If it were me, I'd just get the whiskey and end up doing something stupid. I'd write the money off as gone, flat out. If she's buying 'the crew' drinks, she probably almost definitely isn't in any kinda mindset to pay you back. Hell that would take away from her fun. And she ain't going to have that.

Step the *** up and ask for your money back first! Explain to her why you're asking about it, if she comes up with nothing but ***, THEN do what he said.

HOLY *** ***. !!!
my calculus III instructor scared the ***out of me.
my email to her:
Lidia,
I was wondering if you could get back to me soon about my final grade so I can make adjustments if I have to for the summer II semester. I'm just really anxious and full of anxiety over this test we took today. I felt I did okay even though I couldn't remember the full process on one or two problems. I've been keeping up with the homework as best as I could; so I really hope I can pass your class so I can move on to statistics.
Also I just wanted to double check, there is no more calc III classes/exams for summer I ?
Hope you have a great 4th of July and the rest of the summer, And thanks for the tutoring help.
my instructor's email:
It's 74 for exam, and D in class - your first exam really messed things up
my instructor's 2nd email:
Oh, sorry, I looked at the wrong line, it is C.
conclusion
So yeah I'm not the best person when it comes to math, I really hate it, its always been my worst subject. :| totally love history more than any other core subject but errrgh the first test killed me, but i went to her office hours nearly every day, did my homework, took great notes. My only problem is that I just can't remember all the step by step processes to solve each problem /shrug but anywho yay!! this totally makes my day and now I got to prepare for my linear algebra test. I just need 34 points of 200 to pass :3

Facebook isn't generally the way I've communicated with her in the past. Since she moved away, it's normally been phone calls and texting, so just deleting her from there wouldn't really do much to get her out of my life. Phone blocking and stuff is too much trouble.
I've pretty much done like you said, Slip, and written it off as "never getting it back". I did that back when I loaned it to her, really.
Like I said, I'd kind of figured what the response would be from everyone when I asked. My main thing is that I want to say something about it. Just kind of a, "Dude, wtf?" type thing and ask what her plans were about paying me back. But I know if I start off the wrong way, I'll set myself up for just ripping into her about it.

Then rip into her, I would.
This is just me speaking if I were in your shoes, but..
*** her. I hate dishonest people. I'm seeing way too many of them these days. When I owe someone something, it's on the forefront of my mind. I don't think "well I can just pay them back next week, I want to get drunk today".. I think "I can't afford to get drunk right now, I still owe XXXX money. Speaking of which, since I have it, I better get them to come pick it up".
I would rip into her. She can shut the *** up and sit there and listen to it too, I basically paid her 600 *** dollars to do so.
(It's a weird concept but I'm pissed off for you. I'm at the point to where I seriously am going to start knee capping people for *** me over, I'm just so sick of people who take advantage of others)

Ask her if there's a chance you'll get your money back. If she lies to you walk away. If she gets mad at you walk away. You'll know whether she ever had intention of paying you back and that's worth at least as much as the loan.

It's kind of hard for me to get angry over the money itself. I hate money. The only reason I even care about being paid back is because I'm in a position now where I'm going to need that money within the next few months unless a miracle happens.
All I'm really angry over is the principle... The idea that she's somehow come up with money out of the blue, never said a word to me about it or her plans to pay me back, and is carrying on like this.
The chick is 32 years old, you'd think she'd grow up a bit by now. (And before it comes up: No... The fact that she's a girl wasn't a factor in my giving her the money.)

Son of a biiiiitch.
Removed some sprite sheets from the game because I've decided to stick with the RTP ones until I can sort out the final ones and now the game crashes because it can't find the file even though it's not meant to be using it anymore. @_@;

I care mostly about the principle as well. We live paycheck to paycheck so the money is a factor, but it's mostly the principle. Like I said, I'm tired of dishonest people and I'm seeing entirely too many these days. I hate what they represent. Without going into some long *** debate, I see it as the end of 'polite society' and the beginnings of constantly having to watch your back, post-apocalyptic type ***where everyone will *** you over for next to nothing.

I tried to get my music off my ipod touch once. I just ended up redownloading everything.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
