Why would I want a walkman again? They were huge, bulky things. I want something that fits in my pocket and doesn't castrate me when I sit down.
That retropod an example of taking something that works(ish), and making it worse.
It's simply a matter of nostalgia. A step back to when times and devices alike were simplistic. About as plug and play friendly as it got. You put in your media, you hit play and rocked on. Nothing to sync, setup, configure or arrange. Sure, things have advanced for the better, but sometimes it seems the core or essence in the purpose music players served has become hazy or lost. Hence the simple nostalgic appendage. Just play and stop. All you need~
