Yeah, CG don't really get me to watch movies anymore. I think the tip of that iceberg was the clusterfuck that was "Avatar". I usually prefer more mentally stimulating movies now. Like my all time favorite is "The Big Lebowski". Plot, storyline, character development... That's pretty much the criteria for me nowadays.
Oh yeah, don't get me wrong. CG doesn't mean much of anything to me, either. I normally like much older movies compared to anything newer, because the focus wasn't on how much they could spend on them.
But, when you're watching a movie where you're supposed to be seeing it from the viewpoint of the person shooting the movie, realism is part of the plot, and a troll that looks like it could be a real troll is an awesome thing to see.
