Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
Btw, yal are lucky to have clear memories of your beginnings like you do =/ I have memories of my beginnings in the game, but nothing that clear, and nothing that early.. My earliest memory clear memory is when me and friend and LS mate were off doing something, getting me something, don't remember what, and the ls mate SATA'd off me on a mob that was like EP to them at 75, but I was only 25.. I pretty much died instantly, and then the dude tried to give me like 3 million gil (he put it in trade box and hit ok, all I had to do was accept) and this was back when that was a ton of money.
I finally decide to seriously level PLD and I get booted. :/ Now it wont let me back on! This is blasphemy.

I don't remember what exactly happened in the week when I first started, only that I tried fighting those sheep/rams near Bastok for crap xp, then getting invited (i was a WHM, level 18ish) to heal in the caves near Bastok. lol I was so damn frustrated cuz I was still learning the concepts of healing, and I kept dying.
Ah, fun times, fun times. (I can't wait til I repeat this when TERA online comes out =D)

Random question.. is Shield skill dependent on the level of the mob your fighting? like if I pull a bunch of too weak mobs and block their hits would I get skill ups?

It follows the same level rules as skilling up other skills IE if your skill is 100 and you pull lv 5 mobs you will not get any skill ups.

If the mobs level falls within your shields range then you'll get skillups. I got to like 240? on chigeos for RDM, then I got bored of skilling up shield... That is so straight. -.-

I almost quit the first day of my ffxi experience. I was not aware of what type of game it would be and well potions were too expensive and every time I went outside the town I died as I did not know how to rest/heal myself. Almost returned it day 1. My complete and total opposition to selling my games or returning them kicked in though and well yeah the rest is history.

I remember seeing how expensive the potions were and I was like "WTF!?"
Then i saw Phoenix Downs and I was like "/cry" Then after I purchased one, I found out, THEY ONLY WORK WITH OTHER PEOPLE! I was like "...***..." how did ya get such a good pic from scv for an avi ina? >< ya can see how well mine turned out -,-
