If you are doing weighted squats then don't do lunges the same day. Do leg curls if you have the option to. Squats are superior to lunges and have a lower chance of injuring you. If you really want to do lunges, then alternate days. Squats with one workout, lunges replacing squats for the next.

I feel you man :/ I was doing squats this morning as part of my gym program, with legs still full of lactic acid from last night. It was like dieing a slow death from pain >_>;;

lolol >_> i was actually doing sprawl drills for mma and jujitsu which meant alot of time doing burpee style explosive movements. then getting kicked in the legs for conditioning :/
Got a flat tire couple days ago (haven't had the car for a month yet lol), screw punctured it and I had to put my spare on; friggin 2 hours to get it fixed doesn't sound reasonable :|
Thanks for the advice Dread, it is strange I think after hearing that because all the routines I looked at in the book I got (came with my little bodylastics thing) have squats and lunges on the same day.
I think I might stop doing the lunges altogether though because I feel like I am doing them wrong. Even after watching a few videos on how to do them, I never feel like the correct muscle area is being worked when I do them and usually feel more like I am somehow tweaking my back :/
