Best bet is to build it yourself, if that's not your plan there's a couple other options over getting a pre-built office PC.

Well if anything I just need the specs to run ff at its best w/o the lag I can get a monitor for about $100, and the other $900 can go to the desktop if needed I can go up to $1.5k.
Mostly it just depends on how much performance you want for say Skyrim.
FFXI can be run on practically anything but if you want to Max Skyrim or run it on high it's gonna take more.

Skyrim really wouldn't matter to me, the main reason why I'm getting the desktop is for XI. I was looking at this not sure how well it would handle XI but with my laptop I get major lag mainly due to RAM but I still don't like the feel of playing on a laptop.
